    Nothing.. Everything is perfect!

This is our second time staying at the Hotel Croom Hakata Gion.. and when we decided to visit Japan for a second time it was one of the first places I wanted to rebook! The location is fantastic… an easy 10-min walk from Hakata Station, and close to Canal City Shopping Centre, Kushida Shrine and Kawabatadori Shopping Street. It was especially close for us to see all the action in the finale of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival at 5am!! The hotel is modern and clean, and our Quad Room was very comfortable for our family of 4.. we also love the Public Bath!

A fabulous 4-day stay at a super-wonderful 3 star hotel that seemed like a 4 star hotel more!

Very little. Maybe the size of the room (which is quite understandable) and the tatami carpeted room (too good I didn’t dare to spill anything on it)!

Almost everything: The wonderful Japanese breakfast (still hungry for some more!), the excellent location (1 minute walk to the subway—Geon/Kuchida Shrine) (actually, in the morning and evening, I walked to and back from Hakata Station about 7-8 minutes, mainly straight, passing several hotels), the cozy but a little small room, helpful staff (some spoke English well; if not I used AI to help translate), and the nice and very clean onsen. Also, the hotel is near department stores like Canal City, and across you’d find a big drugstore that is like a big 7/11. In some evenings, I found a few Yatai food stalls parked nearby but too bad I didn’t try it.

If the public bath can be bigger then would be better.

The location is convenient and the staff are very friendly.

Nishitetsu Hotel Croom Hakata Gion Kushida Shrine is located in the quieter part of Hakata area but still near enough to Canal City and Kawabata Shopping Street. It was also easily accessible from the Kushida Shrine subway station. I loved the tatami mats in the room and the low bed because it felt more like a traditional inn. The layout of the room was great too with the low table and chairs to sit at. I was glad that the bathroom was separate from the toilet so it would not be totally wet when you had finished your shower. The public bath and coin laundry facilities were all in the same floor and made it easy for use. I appreciated the iced lolly I could pick up after the public bath. Staff were clear in their instructions and explanations at checking in and were able to help me book a taxi to the Fukuoka Airport. Overall, a place I would recommend anyone looking for a quieter place in Hakata area.

After using the public bath we are requested to bring our towel back to our room which is not an usual thing. Will be better if we can just leave our towel in the public bath and get new ones

Location is nice, just next to the tube station very convenient. Also walking distance to Hakata station which takes around 15 mins. Room is tidy, clean and modern with the big Sony TV. Public bath is nice to relax. Can enjoy late checkout on checkout date just by joining their membership using the app for free.

The capacity of the washing machine is small(6kg) and take 2 hours to wash and dry.

Close to subway and near to canal city which is a big plus. There are a lot of food places such as yatai and yakitori, yakiniku which won’t run out of choices.

This recently opened hotel meant that the rooms were all very clean and spacious, complete with modern amenities, a smart tv, and new toilets. The onsen was also nice, but only consisted of an indoor and outdoor bath. This location is also right in front of a train station entrance and Canal city, meaning that you're quite close to a lot of things

No enough space to open the luggages.

The hotel is right next to a subway station exit. The room is new and clean. House keeper will leave new towels on the door every morning without disturbing.

Onsen is located at 1/F which is very easy for outsider to get inside. Some people occupied the bathing area with their personal items (towel and toiletry) and they went to onsen.

We arrived hotel almost 9pm. We went to Hakata station (about 15 mins walking distance) to have dinner (ramen). Very convenient. The staff are very helpful.

Not a deal breaker really but the lobby being at the second floor instead of the typical ground floor. There is an elevator on the side though so guests don't need to bring their luggage through the stairs.

This is a very reasonable hotel given the price, facilities, location, and room size–it checks all the boxes for me. I did not avail of the breakfast though so I don't have any comment there. If only we can multiply this type of hotel across Japan :)

It was just a little expensive but it was nice and clean so the wife was happy.

Breakfast was amazing. We loved the room and bathroom as well. The location was one stop away from the large train station. We will probably book something which is a very very short walk from the train station next time. We really did like everything we wish it was just a little bit cheaper. If it was $50 less I would be ecstatic about the place.
