How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is way too far from the station. It was raining super hard which made it even more painful. The rooms are also extremely small for two people, you have no space for both luggage and another body to be in there.
The amenities were wonderful and it was very clean. The area is also great, the location is very close to a lot of things that are interesting to visit, eat, shop, etc.

The air conditioner in the room kept changing its settings automatically. A wider range of fresh fruit and veg at breakfast would be nice.
Clean and comfortable room. Helpful and friendly staff. Good location not too far from the station. Good breakfast. The public bath and lounge, including a retro game corner, were very relaxing. Very good value for money.

I dropped my Suica IC card behind the headboard and could no longer be retrieved :(
Decent size for a Japan Hotel. It has enough space to move around a little bit. Washer and Dryer was very helpful. There was a microwave as well, which was really nice since I enjoyed convenience store meals a lot. Not too close to the station but walking to the station was a good exercise. The staff also assisted in receiving my luggage from my previous hotel in Osaka and sending it as well to my next hotel in Tokyo (Yamato Service). Decent breakfast buffet spread. Coffee and Softdrinks are also available for a certain time each day.

no hotel parking, need to carry suitcases from nearby public ones
breakfast very good and not expensive, good location, rooms were ok. onsen pleasant. for parking you need to use affiliated public parking and later buy a parking ticket when you check in, it saves you a lot of money.

The breakfast buffet has very limited western options.
Very well located, with friendly staff and a local japanese bath. Rooms are small, but the twin room has more space.

Rooms are small and it is hard to have suitcases other than a small carry-on. The western selection at the breakfast buffet is very limited.
Very good location, close to shops and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff and clean facilities. Has its own onsen bath and coin laundry.

The hotel is walking distance to some good restaurants. All the staff is extremely helpful and friendly especially the filipino staff, Shaira. She gave us good instructions and recommendations. We loved our stay here.. thank you!

The location of the hotel is a bit far from Shizuoka train station, it will take around 15-20mins walking.
Value for money, buffet breakfast is sumptuous.

The window in the room cannot be open, and there's no air purifier in the room. Therefore there's a lot of dust inside rooms and no fresh air.
The breakfast is delicious 😋 and the onsen is very nice, especially the rest area.

The building is cute, the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a coupon to use the sauna. Rooms were small but sufficient and clean. I'd stay again.

It’s slightly far from Shizuoka Station (about 10 minutes), but in a lively section of town so it’s worth the walk.

I got a smoking room, which I agreed to, but I didn't expect the smell will be so bad. I couldn't cover the window, so anyone could see me and the light from other rooms was too bright. The TV was on the left side from the bed, so it was difficult to watch it.
The hotel is located in the center of Shizuoka, so it was close to the main area. The hotel had many amenities such as tea, face cream, etc.

you can't open the window (even a Little) so you have to switch on the air conditioning even if It's cold outside
