Our family of 4 LOVED this hostel. It is beautiful, clean, comfy and we loved the breakfast "snacks" that were offered each morning. I was hesitant to stay in a hostel--that's not how we usually travel--but the shower rooms were great, offered privacy and comfort. (I felt more like it was a ladies locker room at a tennis club or country club, Japanese style.) We stayed directly across from 2 very clean bathrooms so that ended up being quite easy too. The 'Ship Cat' art throughout made me smile. My bunk had thoughtful touches like a ledge for my device and easy charging access. All of us from ages 17-65 loved our stay here. Location worked perfectly for our travels. Thank you We Base!

The breakfast ended at 9:30 but at 9 there was very little left to eat.

The balcony, the library, the location, the facilities were all very nice.

One of the best places I’ve stayed in. Very clean, comfortable, affordable, good social area, close to station and the staff were welcoming. They helped fix my bag and were friendly.

The WeBase was one of our favourite accommodations during our 7-week trip. It felt more like a hotel than a hostel, even with the shared bathrooms. Everything was modern and impeccably clean. The lounge was big and comfortable, and had a rooftop sitting area. The free breakfast was substantial and always neatly presented. The toilets were always clean and there were plenty of showers - never had to wait for one and never got the ick despite the hostel being fully booked when we went. Keeping everything clean is so important to them, they slipped us a politely-worded note under our door requesting to clean our room because we had the "do not disturb" sign on our door for 2 consecutive days.

Staff are nice, will say “Welcome back!” when ever you come back, pass by the counter. The counter has staff 24 hours, you may always seek for help if need. Very clean!!! They got bike rental, you may do cycling to explore the city. The cat design is very cute! Will come back again if i come to Fukuoka.

One small downside was that my sleeping pod had a slight foot odor when I arrived.

I really enjoyed my stay at WeBase! The location is excellent, very central and less than 5 minutes from both the subway and bus stops, which made exploring the city super convenient. The staff was friendly, the common areas were clean, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed.

I found the bed to be quite small and not so comfortable. Also they charge for everything.. 100 yen for an extra pillow, I found it a bit ridiculous

Toilets were pretty cold in the morning because the windows were not closed during the night My room was very small - might be an issue if the room is full (I was alone in a 4 bed room)

It was great. Everything was very clean, amenities like shampoo, hair dryer, small breakfast etc were provided, and the staff was very friendly Also, it is very near to a subway station and it not very far to walk just to busier areas

Very good value for money - super clean. We we worried about the shared showers but they were absolutely fine - plenty of availability and clean. Staff were helpful - if you are parking in the recommended carpark make sure you go to the reception first for a lower cost

I think the only thing that bothered me was the loud fan in the room, but at least the room was well ventilated at all times. (So I guess, you win some you loose some?)

The top floor lounge was very cozy, the breakfast was very simple but good enough if you are in a hurry and just need a quick snack :). Good for a night or two as the rooms are a bit small, but clean.

A good hostel, with clean showers (including shampoo, etc) and a nice common room with a small balcony up on the roof. My private room was comfortable. A short walk to the main Ichiran branch :-)

It is a hostel, so you cannot expect total privacy.

It is in a great location. I enjoyed the social aspect of sharing a lounge area with other guests. It’s more interesting than staying in a hotel room by yourself.

Don't waste your time in Tenjin (it's a super commercialized area) - Nothing to do with hostel, just a tip

Loved it! Great spot near Old Town Hakata. Free breakfast in the morning. Clean everything. Luggage storage. Front desk. Nice library, near parks and restaurants and not far from trainline out of Hakata and Fukuoka airport. Nice aesthetic too!
