Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanThere were no outlets by the beds for charging phones so you couldn’t keep them next to you. It is the furthest hotel from the entrance so can be difficult to reach if you don’t make it for the shuttle bus.
I loved having an ocean front hotel that’s also a bit secluded in the trees. The hotel itself is pretty big and our three bed room was decent size! It’s easy to access from the park itself but maybe difficult if shuttle busses close early.

This hotel is very good. The location is very good, very close to the entrence of HUIS TEN BOSCH ,The hotel room is very spacious and clean. The bedding, especially the pillows, are so good for sleeping. This pillow is very comfortable and makes me sleep soundly. The staff have a good service attitude and also store luggage. Although there are many varieties of breakfast, more than twenty are rich enough and very delicious, but a little bit expensive.

United StatesIt is strange that the hotel is only accessible via park ticket purchase. And also the website was not clear about purchasing tickets and accommodating a hotel patron. I was originally led to believe that if I purchased a hotel stay, I would be compensated for a park visit the next day, but that was not the case and I ended up spending another hundred dollars just to access the park again. It was an inconvenience but we made the most of it. I think this particular aspect of the hotel stay should be conveyed better.
The room was very lovely and warm on such a cold weekend. The building itself by the water was beautiful. Once we navigated via a small bus to the back of the park and dropped our bags off in the hotel, we managed to spend the remaining hours of the evening enjoying the beautiful lights around the park. Since it wasn't the usual season for flowers at Huis Ten Bosch, the entire place was decorated in amazing lights. It was as if Christmas continued into February. The park is not part of the room purchase so you must procure a ticket to the venue before you can access your hotel. And there is a ferry from the airport that directly reaches the park, but it only has two departures so plan accordingly.

AustraliaTakes a bit of walking to get to and from the attractions, but I noticed there is a 'bus stop' just at the hotel's entrance, though I haven't used it. The street can be a bit dim at night on the way there, but at the time I went, there were Christmas lights along the way.
There's a courier service near the park's entrance to get luggage sent to the hotel for free. Very convenient. As for the room, lovely old European decor, good attention to detail. Also spacious. There are some native English-speaking staff at the reception area. Upon check-out, one staff member went out of his way to help get my luggage onto the courier service in time (to drop off back at the park's entrance). Really appreciate this. Also, free water bottle in the room which can be used during the park's visit; very thoughtful! Cool view of the lake in the morning from the room.

MalaysiaThe bed quite hard, so not very comfortable for all the cozy feelings it was going for. Also for the price, the hotel feels a little barren and you can feel the age of the place.
The room was very cozy and the bathroom was large. Loved all the little items they provided to make your stay great (like the bath salts and drip coffee). Yes, there's a bathtub. There wasn't much of a view but the leaves outside my room had turned red so it was really pretty.

ThailandHotel Parking , Onsen facility a bit far and need to take shutter bus. But if you plan well, it is ok. I meet problem when I first enter the parking lot, the sign on the road surface is Japanese language. You need to go to the right lane unless you may go to the visitor parking not hotel parking.
The hotel building is very beautiful , old European Style , classic also the room.

AustraliaNo breakfast food options except their 3400 yen per person buffet, which seemed to be a bit much as we had people in our group who didn't eat much but still wanted something small to eat in the morning.
Front desk was quick and check-in was a painless procedure. Interior was bit older and worn but still nice.

TaiwanThere's not enough illumination in the room, a little bit inconvenient to take care of kid in the dimness. It would be better to offer the information of hotel through email before check-in, such as the location of parking lot and shuttle bus. And more light cuisine instead of salty food provided within breakfast would be better, too.
Good to watch the firework show from harbor view room as expected. The room is well-soundproofed.

United KingdomThe breakfast was extra and it wasn't amazing, there was alot of choice however but none of it was exceptional, not to say it was bad however.
Very European in style, beautiful interiors, a big comfortable bed, spacious room, all utilities and amenities you could possibly need including razors and pyjamas, very close to huis ten Bosch itself. Good view from the window.

SpainThe room is half the size from what is shown on he photo. Everything is a bit tatty. Parking was free but to get to the free parking you have to take a shuttle bus which only runs every 30 minutes. The parking next to the hotel is NOT free. Breakfast was available but very expensive (usually breakfast is about 1200 - 1600 yen, here it was 3300 yen).

United KingdomAfter staying in hostels most of the time, this was a welcome treat. Very comfortable beds. Lovely view from the room. There were lovely goodies for a luxurious bath and comfi pyjamas. The hotel is quite a distance from the park entrance but I booked a transfer for the morning which came right on time and was included in the price. You can also drop your bag at the entrance of the park, which will be taken to your hotel so you can enjoy the park without your luggage. Very well organised.
