Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BangladeshI chose this one as I couldn't find any business hotels in the area. The experience was good. The price was right. The hotel staff was very friendly. And the breakfast was delicious. They would bring breakfast every morning on time and ring the doorbell. There was one small problem for me as I was a business traveler. I had to bother them by calling the intercom several times a day to open the door. I sincerely apologize for that.

Australia. Location was not what I was expecting. The hotel culture was not what I was expecting. Never heard of a love hotel before thought nothing of it when I booked. The check in and check out was not what I was expecting. Being locked in the room was a total not expecting. Was not comfortable with this. I felt my freedom to come and go was crushed. Not happy with that. Limited English by the hosts made it difficult. Cleanliness of the bathroom was not very clean. Mould in the grout and around the shower door.
Location was close to aquarium and Lego land which was why I wanted to stay in the Area. Should have stayed near the station and got a train. Didn't do research on the train line when I booked. Spacious room and facilities were comfortable. Great view. Was a quiet area. Change from the city which was good to be able to walk around and not feel like you were bumping into everyone. Food court down near the water. Room service options were good however both items I wanted were not available. Breakfast was good.

BrazilIt's a place for adults, only. I do not recommend bringing children, although it says it is permitted. They keep you locked up in your room to prevent you to go out without checking out every morning. To get out, you must call the front desk and ask them to open the door for you. Then go to the 9th floor to pay for anything you've used in the room during the previous night and, finally, take a different elevator to go out of the building. The front desk is 24/7, but they are not very helpful if you need to leave your luggage, use the phone, or receive a delivery. You have to do everything on your own.

It is big and very spacious for my husband and the baby. The view is beautiful, especially the ferris wheel in the morning.

AustraliaThis hotel was terrible and we were scared for our lives. They LOCK YOU IN at night and even after delivering breakfast the door is locked again! The lift you come up to your room is then locked and you can't go back down. It is set up like a sex worker hotel with items of that nature in the room plus gambling machines? Wierd. Absolutely not suitable for children. Very strange and scary hotel. Think twice before booking.
There was nothing I liked about the hotel. The food was good but no restaurant. You have to eat in your room.

IndiaIt is a love hotel. I went with my family and a 1 year old son. it was embarrassing. I expect Booking. Com to mention that somewhere in the description. Also it was extremely expensive during the golden week time which added salt to my wound.

CanadaThey lock you in your room without telling you in advance. There is no key provided, this is their policy which is kinda ridiculous. They NEED to let people know CLEARLY this is not a regular hotel but a love hotel and people WILL BE LOCKED in their room with no fire exit. This experience is honestly pretty traumatizing, they even block you from exiting the lobby and the block off certain elevators. To go outside, you have to give them 10,000 yen. I am not kidding.
Nothing positive - I was afraid for my life here and booked another hotel wasting money but my life is worth more

JapanComfort room smells bad. Not foreigner friendly since staffs doesn't speak english. It shouldn't be listed on agoda since tourists use that to book decent hotels. Not love hotels. Everytime you need to go out the room you need to call the lobby to open the door for you. Very inconvenient.

Tricked into this hotel room by my wife, during a typhoon. The hotel is a bit creepy, and you are locked into your room until you call the non English speaking staff, and have to find your way out, since there is one elevator for exiting the hotel.

PhilippinesThis hotel was probably in top shape when it was built circa 1970. It was intended as an upscale resort hotel. However, somewhere along the way it, instead of updating it, it was aimed "down market" and became a 'Love Hotel'. Tacky and tatty. Yuck. We moved out after one night.
The breakfast was delicious.
