Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

JapanThe area is great and the host is super nice! The building itself and some of the interiore is a bit aged and and might have seen better days but the room was clean, spacious, bright, with a great view on the fishing boats and all in all just really comfy. Great pricing too! Unfortunately our kid came down with a bad ear infection and high fever, so we had to cancel most of our stay and headed back home after just one night. We unexpectedly did get a notification a day later that we would get two of the four nights refunded. Thank you very much for that! :)

New ZealandWe arrived a bit earlier than the 1500 check in time to find the place locked up as though it was going through a refurbishment. We were able to walk around but were unable to get anyone's attention. The dining area had chairs stacked on tables and was clearly not in use and the pool was a vivid algae green. After waiting around for a bit longer we decided not to stay there and were able to find other accommodation. The place looked abandoned and deserted and were surprised when we saw our credit card had been debited. We also realised later the place was closed from Sat 01 Feb until Mon 23 Jun 2025

JapanIt has a nice view from the window and balcony, but the air conditioning was off when we arrived, unfortunately, we had a cold and rainy day. There was no one available an hour before check-in to leave the luggage. It’s a place for athletes and young people — I believe it’s practical, but not suitable for families.

For the 4th time, I had the chance to stay at Tabuse Villa Daio Resort, it was another an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by Masaru who is always attentive. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. It feels like you are back home. The room was immaculate — beautifully decorated, spacious, and equipped with every comfort I could ask for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens were high quality, and the attention to detail was evident everywhere. The hotel amenities were equally impressive. The hotel also has a pool, outdoor sauna room, BBQ corner and many other facilities. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, and memorable stay. Especially if you are going for fishing around Mie prefecture. I can’t wait to go back.
