Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Neat and tidy room. Staff were very helpful and held our bags prior to check in and for most of the day after we checked out (our transit was late in the day).

PhilippinesI wish they also changed the loungewear every day, but it's not that big of a deal.
Decent location, yes it's beside the red district, but it's almost at the end so it's not a bother. Close to the park, and subway stations. Room is clean, and i like that their effort for eco and sustainable cleaning. They don't clean the room everyday, They only replace and take the trash out. For a full clean, you may request a day prior. I loved staying here!

ThailandThe room is a bit small but understandable for a room in the heart of the city at this price range.
It's in the center of Sakae, close to almost everything. Downstairs is a nightlife lover after around 8-9pm but quiet in the room. It's close enough to shopping center, dining place, and everything you hope for.

IrelandThe only downside was the view from our room, which faced a wall, but since we were only there for one night, it didn’t really matter. All in all, better than good — a solid choice for a short stay in Nagoya
We stayed one night at Hotel Vista Nagoya and had a great experience overall. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and reasonably spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and our short stay smooth and pleasant. The hotel is in a convenient location near the station, which was perfect for our travel plans.

SingaporeThis was the only place I stayed where I was confused about the heater/air-conditioner. And staying for 6 nights, I really needed to figure it out for a pleasant stay. What I did was air-con mode or crack the window open to cool the room when I got back. Then turn on the heat before I take my bath so I dun get the sudden cold shock. Before bedtime, I switch to aircon 22ºC on low fan. I requested for a butter knife to cut my bread and apple but was rejected and only given a fork and a plate, which I made do perforation style. Could use more hooks and hangers on the wall as it was winter, so I barely had enough to air out all the layers.
Highly recommend the breakfast! There was variety although I mostly ate the Japanese section. Really enjoyed the potato salad, fried noodles, ebi katsu, eggplant, miso soup and meatball vegetable soup. I looked forward to it every morning! You can choose how you like your eggs which I recommend the scrambled. The counter table has power outlets if you need to charge your phone or power bank. Staff was very friendly and most spoke English, except the one that attended to me when I dropped off my luggage. Since I was staying for 6 nights, I chose the bigger bed so I had more space. The power outlet near the bed was convenient, so is the little shelf below the TV to store my other charging cables. Light below the bed was convenient too and less harsh when getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I appreciated the less cleaning, I think it was every 4 days. Used towels and trash were collected every day. I did laundry here on my first night before dinner, and collected it after dinner. My synthetic ski pants didn't burn in the dryer lol! I went to reception to change 500 yen as it is coin-operated. The laundry powder has a scent but not overpowering. Good location as it is a short walk from Hisaya-odori station on two subway lines. The nearest subway exit is stairs only but there's a further exit with lift/elevator access; do check in advance. I also walked to Fushimi station once which didn't seem that far. Many konbini within walking distance.

SwitzerlandThe room was clean overall, though a few spots (like under the sink and bed) could use extra attention. The pillows, with their unusual filling, weren’t the most comfortable for me, and while the curtains didn’t fully close on one side, it wasn’t a big issue. Small tweaks would make a great stay even better!
I chose this hotel for its spacious room, large double bed, and roomy bathroom, all at a fantastic price, and I’m very happy with my stay. The central location and friendly staff made it an even better experience, and the provided amenities and strong Wi-Fi were much appreciated. Overall, a comfortable and economical choice—highly recommend!

GermanyWhile the room was the smallest hotel room we stayed in during our Japan trip (so far), we had everything we needed! The bed was comfortable, we had a little table and seat. We loved the separate toilet and shower room, and the bathtub. We also used the washer/dryer on the second floor, it's easy to use and very convenient. The staff was always very friendly and helpful, especially with organizing to ship our luggage. We loved that we got fresh towels and water everyday, but still had a sustainable room cleaning only once during our stay.
