The room upstairs gets a bit warm during the day, but there is airco if needed. It would be nice to have a bit more storage room for clothes. But overall, we were very satisfied.

Clean and nice rooms with a pleasant common area for cooking, eating and hanging out. The place has three guestrooms. Everything is clean and well kept. Good mattresses. Check-in is easy and the landlady is friendly.

You can check in only after 5 PM (very late, it should be changed to 3PM).

Everything was great, had no issues. The owner was nice, she spoke good English. The place was clean, the wifi was stable, I liked the traditional Japanese style room. It is a bit noisy because the wall is out of paper, but it is unique experience

Hard to find as there no clear signage. No English name to this booking, hence didn’t show up on google-map. Rooms are upstairs. Shared toilet and shower. Shower is on the ground floor.

Well-equipped kitchen. Toilets, shower are clean. There is laundry area. Futons are thick enough to sleep. About 8 mins walking distance to Kii-Katsuura Stn (Altho it took us sometime to find the place). The pier and the sea is nearby. We watched Tuna auction, had delicious raw tuna 😊

Very nice stay at this guest house in a typical Japanese room. The host is very nice and arranging, available next door if needed. The city isn't so big so everything is walking-distance accessible, and there is a bus heading to Nachi falls next to the station.

Sometimes the WiFi wouldn't work but I think it might be the area.

Amazing value for money! Lovely host, who speaks good English and explained everything on arrival. Good location for the bus to Nachi falls and the train station. Very clean. Room was spacious with a wardrobe available for use. Free use of the washing machine. Kitchen with everything you need. Towels provided. Couldn't ask for more.

This room is very clean, fully equipped, and has air conditioning, which is a great bonus. Everything is very traditional and comfortable. The landlord is very nice, speaks English, has convenient transportation, and is only a short walk from the station. This is a beautiful town, everything is so impressive, traditional Japanese, like movies from the 80s and 90s. If I come back next time, I will still live here

We thought 5pm is a very late check-in time, but other than that, we would highly recommend it.

Location, cleanliness, a real kitchen, a free washing machine with liquid, and how quiet it was. It was close to the train station, bus station, the water (& fresh tuna market!) and a family mart.

Although host did put up blinking lights to identify the guesthouse, it's pretty inconspicuous from the main street still. If there's flag stand or a hanging banner on the street entrance will be great. Got so lost on a rainy night. Luckily host stored extra mattresses in closet to add on as the one laid out isn't very comfortable.

Very spacious family room. Big kitchen and hangout space. Well stocked kitchen appliances, great bathroom with tub, washing machine and big shoe cabinet to use. Short cut via back lane, thru an open park space and then pass through a nice typical Japanese school to reach the wonderful Kumano Cafe and rugged coastline overlooking Benten Island. Short stroll to the center and cruise jetty. Very responsive host and very organised.

Wifi was a bit slow but other than that all was great.

Wonderful little house located within walking distance of station. Host was lovely and very kind - we arrived soaking wet having been caught in the heavy rain and she allowed us an early check in which was amazing as we were able to get dry and regroup. The area surrounding is quiet and great to take a stroll in the evening.

Beds are ground level and thin so they feel a bit hard for foreigners’ backs. Walls aren’t very sound proof.

Right in the town center, super close to the train station and a family mart. The host is super nice and available. There’s a clean communal kitchen that you can use. Feels like staying at a Japanese person’s home. They provide towels and tooth brush. They let us drop off bags after check out. There’s also a washer for your clothes but no dryer. It was the most affordable place around and we ended up staying an extra night here.

The walls and floors are very thin so unless guests are very quiet - tiptoe around, speak softly and not bang their stuff about - it can be noisy - bring earplugs or headphones. There are 2 rooms upstairs and one big one downstairs, with a toilet on each floor, but only one bathroom downstairs (separate from the toilet)

The location was very convenient, just a few mins walk from the train and bus station and the port . Perfect if you're visiting Nachi Falls or wantvto wake up early to see the tuna bidding in the morning. It is in a little lane off the main road marked with a brown vertical sign Mune House. The whole place was spotless!:The hostess (who lives in the house behind) let us check in when we arrived, much earlier than the stated check-in time of 5pm (check out is 10am). But even if your room is not ready, you can leave your luggage there. The hostess provides toiletries, toothbrush and toothpaste, towels and slippers - you sleep on mattresses on the floor, Japanese style.. You can cook in the kitchen, all utensils provided. There's also a washing machine in the bathroom, but no dryer.

Walls are not sound proof. :-) I could hear couple next room talking. But it is guesthouse not hotel so I guess you must count on this. :-) Still I would recommend this experience.

Japanese ordinary house used as guest house. Nice experience. I felt like kind of at my grandmas. Similar furniture style. :-) Landlady is very nice. I stayed only one night so only few hours basically so I cannot tell more. Close to train station or bus to Nachi falls. I would stay longer next time.... :-)
