    Everything was awesome!

This was such a treat to stay at this camp ground! We loved the yurts with comfortable beds, the beautiful peaceful countryside and cooking on the fire the most!

We had an amazing 2 night stay at Ties to allow us to walk the Nakasendo Trail. The staff could not do enough for us and were so welcoming and helpful. The facilities were amazing, we could not fault it. We had delightful evenings cooking over coals, toasting marshmallows over the fire pit and looking out over the valley and bamboo forrest. I highly recommend even 1 night at this fabulous spot.

Could use an electric water boiler for coffee / small oven for toast when rainy.

Facilities and the remote location - we stayed during a rainy night and woke up to amazing views with breakfast over the bonfire.

Ties campground was an absolute pleasure. All the fun of camping with almost none of the work! The host was fantastic and kind and the place had absolutely everything we needed. The foot bath was a welcome addition after a long day of trekking in the rain!

To reach the site we had to walk 3km uphill. We had expected to be able to take a taxi from Tsumago, but the taxi company didn’t want to go there - too far out of their way.

Well equipped tent and emplacement with open fireplace. Nice views. Clean toilet and shower. Staff very helpful.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. Just one tip (not something I didn't like but to prepare for), bring a good sleep mask unless you don't want to wake up before 6am ;)

As everything in Japan, it was all perfectly organized and the staff was super kind. We had a great experience there, the place is wonderful, the quietness and the unexpected foot bath (onsen) was amazing. Food was also great, everything well explained and with all the support needed.

The tents are perhaps a little close to each other, and paying for a shower seemed a little much as the accommodation is not cheap to begin with, however overall these are very small points in what is otherwise a well-considered campsite.

Great team of staff who were very helpful in making the experience a fun one. We loved the interiors of the tents with warm and comfortable bedding. The location next to a small forest is lovely. The access to free firewood was a good to have, considering it can get cold in the hills. The shared kitchen facilities are well thought out and have pretty much everything you need. We self-catered and found everything that we needed to cook with.

Loved it all. Will stay there again on our next visit.

Loved the Bell tents, well laid out. Warm and cozy. Comfortable. Not to far from the main building, but far enough away to have good privacy. A great overall layout on the property. Loved and appreciated the foot onsen after a day of hiking Nakasendo. We ordered dinner, and breakfast and both were yummy and very generous sizes.

We were travelling light and had not brought enough clothes for a chilly evening and early morning in March. We were warm in bed, in front of the fire, in the tent and once the sun was up. The syabu syabu was great. Lovely place and people, very helpful.

A bit far from the train. Takes about an hour to walk and it's quite steep. Taxis available. More expensive than other hotels we stayed at iKiso valley

Unique luxury camping experience with a lovely and clean kitchen and common area. Beautiful views of the valley. Very comfortable tents. Food was excellent (need to order ahead of time)

We really enjoyed camping midway through our Japan trip! The campground is well set up and we had everything we needed to ensure a cozy stay. They provided sleeping bags in addition to regular bedding since it was a cold night (on top of heaters). They also have a lot of kitchen items for use which was fun to choose from! The addition of the deck and foot onsen during sunset was spectacular! The food that we arranged was great! We would stay here again.

Great clamping venue and right on the bypass mountain section of the Old Nakasendo Way. They provide dinner and breakfast packages which you cook on and charcoal burner and beer abs other beverages.

The tent was clean and neat overall but unfortunately there appeared to be spots of mould on the tent canvas. This was the only downside to the entire stay.

The accommodation and facilities were lovely. The foot onsen was a real bonus after a big day's walk. Everything was well organized and the customer service was excellent. Our late arrival was accommodated on last minute's notice. We had a beautiful and delicious dinner which was conveniently prepared for us. The tent and the site had everything we needed including a firepit and a wonderful view.
