Nothing. All was perfect.

I would say that this was our favorite place of all in 14 days we travelling in Japan. It was like coming home. My sons agree. We needed 8 minutes of walk from train station. We were being late since we missed a train in Koyasan, but owners waited for us. They are really warm and friendly. We got really great advice for restaurants. Room was nice and comfortable and clean. There is a bath, not just shower and also a washing machine. To the center it is only a short walk. We book a place with breakfast option and I really recommend it! Cucumbers and tomatoes were grown by owners! And food was delicious! They are such a nice team!!!

Beds took up most of the space in the room so not really space to put your bags, could do smaller bed/ one less bed in our room as we were 2 people so didn’t need sleeping space for 3.

The owners are so welcoming and friendly. They don’t stay at the property but welcome you when you arrive and explain everything and come in the morning to make delicious breakfasts. It is great to be in a house instead of a hotel. Short walk from the station and from the old streets in the town.

The owners allow you to use the kitchen facitilities and breakfast was provided wich includes bread toast and salad. You can buy other breakfast foods from convenience store nearby and use the refrigerator.

The doors in the bedroom let in light (if the guests next door had the light on).

All necessary facilities were present. A fresh, nutritious breakfast was prepared in the morning by the hosts. All in all; a good location, nice beds and super sweet hosts.

There wasn’t much to dislike, the host was very friendly, the location was excellent, and nearly everything was provided.

Everything was great for us, really. If I had to think of something, maybe the steep staircase to the rooms upstairs could be a handicap for anyone with lower mobility, but it wasn't our case.

The convenience of its location, and the great hospitality of the couple that run the place.

Ensuite would have been nice, and maybe slightly larger bedroom, but it was very comfy even for 3 guests.

Host was amazing, so friendly. You could think of it as having a small-medium room, or as having a whole (shared) house, since there's a common area you can occupy and a great shower and laundry room.

There is only one shower, so you may have to wait a little if other guests are using it. Otherwise, nothing!

Perfectly located near the train station. The owners do not speak much English, but they are super kind and polite. They really go out of their way to be friendly! We used the translator app on the phone and it worked perfectly. The room was comfortable, shared bathroom was no problem, breakfast was nice. They also provided house slippers and went out of their way to find an extra towel for us. Couldn't be happier with the stay.

I like this place a lot! It's very comfortable and clean. Even though the bathroom is shared with other guests, the bathroom is very clean and fragrant. The host is super nice and welcomes foreigners like us. In the bedroom, we got yukata to try on, a very wonderful experience. We bring our own food and can be stored in the refrigerator in the kitchen. All is good, and we'd definitely go back to stay here if we come to Takayama again! Xiexie, arigatou!~

A typical Japanese house with rooms for guests. A common kitchen, well-equiped. Breakfast is served with plenty of options mixing Asian and Western styled. Washing and drying machine available. Located about 20 minutes walking from the train station. Very calm and silent neighborhood. The most valuable asset is the couple who takes care of the space: Mr. Oosuka and Ms. Pon. Such adorable people, always attentive to your necessities, providing much information. They don't speak English well, but their extreme kindness and good will surpass everything. My wife and I will remember them forever.

The room is a bit crowded and it's hard to move around. Steps up are dangerous with a heavy bag.

The hosts are incredibly nice and they offer a very good breakfast . Shower, toilet is shared but that's fine. Location is good. 10 minutes walk from everything.

There is only one shower for something like six rooms, so if the place is full it can get busy.

The couple who runs the place are really nice, the room is spacious and clean, we were surprised to get a lovely breakfast, and there an easy parking spot near the place.

The only downside I can think of is the shower to guest ratio, there is only one shower place, when there is a lot of guests, the ratio seems a little high, but since people from different countries have different habits on when they take shower, rarely have to queue up for shower.

Location is very good, everything is clean, washing machine and hang drying, kitchen facilities are very new, overall the vibe is very good. I enjoy the bikes they provide for borrowing a lot, car park is just a min walk away and is very convenient. Staffs are very friendly and caring. Breakfast includes produce from the owner’s garden, very fresh and satisfying.

1. My room didn't have a lock. 2. There was only one shower in the common area. 3. The staircase was quite steep.

1. It's quite near Takayama Nohi Bus Center - about a 10 minute walk. 2. The property is very new, so everything is clean and in working condition. 3. There's a kitchen with fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle, where you can eat or prepare your food. 4. It's in a nice quiet neighborhood. 5. The owners, Peng and Oscar, went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They were very friendly and genuinely helpful, when I had some special requests. I couldn't have asked for nicer property owners!
