The nearest bus stop or public transport is quite a distance from the actual Hostel. Mixed hostel rooms just means males.

Being my first experience in a hostel, I did expect a lot of people, this was not the case. Although the room was quite, the lounge/common area did have a few people which was nice. Bed was soft and clean. A basket is provided for the showers which is nice. Basins were tidy and hairdryer was good. Free ear plugs and toothbrush was very much appreciated. There is space for large luggage in the room with a locker for valuables.

There is no drinking water filter machine supply, you can only share a kettle.

The guests at this hostel are very harmonious. The bed frames are made of wood, so the sound when turning over is very faint. The shared toilets and bathrooms are also very clean.

Extremely thin-walled People don't care about the "no noise after 10p.m. rule", so I often had a hard time to sleep (there's nothing the hostel can do about it, but the problem is ampflified by the thin walls)

Unlike in other hostels I had a lot of space for my stuff, because it's not just a the bed with a curtain, but a whole small room (divided by curtains) - gives some nice privacy Really nice lounge spaces in the 3rd and 10th floor

Location is a bit further from the main area and transport - you may think it is fine, but during winter with record snowfall, it was difficult to carry all the luggage and not slip on the ice.

I asked if I could leave my luggage for an extra day as I was spending it in an onsen town, and they were able to accommodate me, it was much appreciated!

The price during snow fest is absolutely more than the accommodation is worth. With 8 people to a room, over 10,000 yen a night is very pricey. I understand everything is expensive during this busy time, and I’m sure the value of this hostel is better in the off season, but even 6,000-8,000 yen per night would have been much more reasonable.

The bunks themselves were spacious and the bedding provided was very cozy. They included a decent sized lock box inside and hangers. The facilities were very clean especially considering how many guests use the space, and the 10th floor lounge was an incredible spot. The pizza place on the 1st floor is delicious! The staff were very kind and helpful.

We had a 4 person room and the storage space was very lacking, with only hangers on a rail on the wall. Would have been good for 1 night stay but we stayed 4 nights. Walls were thin and conversations next door could be heard.

Facilities were good, with washing machines and dryers onsite, a large communal lounge and kitchen. Lots of convenience stores close by and malls and restaurants just a short walk away.

There wasn't much space between the door and the ladder leading to my hostel. Aside from that, I had no other issues and enjoyed my stay.

The price was very cheap and really helped me with my one month stay in Japan. It allowed me to see the sights in Hokkaido without being so far from places to get food or the train station.

The curtains don't reach all the way at the top. If the other guest decides to be in considerate and on it in the middle of the night. Sleep can be disturbed. Lights in the toilets and bathrooms turn off automatically if no movement is sensed. Frustrating as I cannot stay still in the toilet for mote than 2 mins or so.

Breakfast was okay. Has abit of everything. Space is for the cabin is quite spacious. There is aire purifier in the shared room. They provided earplugs which is a plus.

The pillows and matresses were rather stiff and the thin walls meant you could hear the neighboring dormitories as well. As a light sleeper this made it difficult to soundly sleep so I really only dozed in and out for several hours.

The location, showers and overall price were excellent! The staff was friendly and there was English paperwork available for me. I speak Japanese well enough but reading is difficult and always using a machine translator is embarrassing so having pre-translated forms was nice.

The people in the room next to us were up talking loudly all night and kept waking us up. should have grabbed a pair of the free ear plugs.

...some toilets were also quite dirty. It was during the snow festival season, so I guess it was also a lot of people there, which might increase the chances of facilities getting dirty more easily and faster, but since the prices were also very hight, I would have wished that at least there would be a bit more effort to keep it clean.
