The hotel was far from Mishima station so if you want to save money, take the bus shuttle. We opted to take a taxi and it was pricey.

This was an enormous room with everything you could want. The views were nice from the hotel of Mt Fuji. The onsen was spectacular. We purchased the dinner and breakfast and both were delicious and well served. The staff was friendly and the location was perfect if you want to be near Mt. Fuji.

Magnificent view of Mt Fugi from our private Lanai!! Due to the weather, Mt. Fugi had been obscured by clouds, but at sunrise Mt. Fugi View and Private Sauna Ryokan Shizuku really lived up to its name!!! I'm glad we stayed there otherwise, we would have missed seeing Mt Fugi entirely! The staff was amazing, had tea and a snack waiting for us at check-in, brought our bags to the suites immediately. Very friendly and welcoming! The suites were huge! My husband lost his glasses in Kawaguchiko and the front desk called various companies until they were located! And then booked a taxi who waited for him to go in and get them and brought him back! The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we have ever had, all the food groups and all freshly made on site. This is a hidden gem. Lovely lake and local town. So relaxing and inviting! Wish we booked 2 nights! I'd like to attach pictures, but they don't do it justice.

Outdoor paint scheme threw it off. But definitely a great stay.

We got there a little early and the parking lot was almost completely empty. The outside paint color did not appeal to us and we almost regretted the decision booking with them. However, upon entering our room, it completely exceeded our expectations. Definitely a gem. Best hotel we stayed in Japan thus far.

Nothing to complain, for that location a rental car or bike might be useful. The Ryokan is providing rental bikes.

Very clean, huge rooms with an own Sauna and Ambi-Light. You can see Fuji-San while enjoying your room-Sauna. The staff is very friendly. The food was very delicious.

We have visited the facility already for the second time, and enjoyed every moment there. Fascinating service, very comfortable rooms, exceptional dinner, very friendly staff. The view of Mt. Fuji directly from the bed is amazing. Sauna and jacuzzi in the room so convenient.

It is not a big deal, but: - no sockets near the bed; - hot tub setting dispwlay was not working properly; - no tea in the room, just coffee;

The most welcoming staff I ever met and amazing service. They even helped us to book bus tickets to Tokyo. Room was nice, with amazing view of Mt. Fuji, hot tub and sauna. We really enjoyed breakfast and dinner, meals were exceptional.

Maybe rationalise the price just a tiny bit. I understand we booked during a busy period but it was a bit expensive for 1 night.

The place was stunning, the staff was kind and caring. They made accomodations for our dietary needs. The beds were the most comfortable we’ve stayed at to date in Japan. Most importantly the onsen was life changing.

This is the best accomodation I have ever stayed in. The room was huge and the bed was super comfortable and big. Sauna and onsen experiences were incredible and the views of Mt Fuji were great. Nothing in particular that I didn't like, but would add a word of warning that you should book your bus to and from the lake in advance, as they fill up fast.

The bed was divine, facilities clean and comfortable. The Finnish breakfast (Booking.com inexplicably adds a few syllables and claims it is a Full English) was a delightful surprise.

Best ryokan of our whole trip .. you literally wake up to Mount Fuji in your bed . The staff , the food , the views and the room were exceptional! Nice way to end our trip with peace and quiet. Make sure you go have lunch or dinner at Shoya right down the street . We had unexpected snow but it was so great ! We had breakfast included and it was so so good and well worth it ! The private onson and private sauna in our room was so great . Do not hesitate to stay here !

There’s a set menu for breakfast (they let you choose the type of egg you have). I’m not a big breakfast person and I don’t love fish (there was a fish soup but I asked for no soup the next day and the staff were totally fine with it) so I’d probably not do the breakfast again if we went back but my husband loved it! The coffee was delicious!

The suite was immaculate and they provided everything we could possibly need for our stay (shampoo, conditioner, face wash, toothbrushes etc) but not only that, the owner of the hotel drove us to the bus station when we were caught in heavy snow so that we could get to the train station after our bus was cancelled and there were no taxis. We were in such a panic and he saved us. The staff were super friendly and helpful and we LOVED the outside bath and sauna. The views of the lake were absolutely incredible and I’m really glad we booked that room instead of the Mount Fuji one because it was cloudy so we loved the views of the lake! We told the staff we were there for our honeymoon and they wrote a lovely note for us and gave us such a sweet gift which made us grin so widely when we arrived! This was our favourite place we stayed on our 2 week Japan honeymoon. We couldn’t praise it more if we tried!

View of Mount Fuji was absolutely perfect from our room. Loved the public baths and the in-room amenities. The food in the restaurant was spectacular. We had dinner one night which was exceptional. Breakfast was also excellent with fresh baked goods, eggs, etc. This was really a wonderful property and we would stay here again and recommend to others.

Lack of restaurant specially if you are looking for a halal place there is only an Indian place. Also dinner in the hotel finishes super early.
