Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyVery small "hostel space". 4 beds in a tiny room with a small table and a bench for 2 people. Don't expect too much. I guess it is meant to sit in the Cafe for being together. Beds are right beside of the cafe-space, seperated by a wooden, displacable wall, so as long as the cafe is open, there will be no silence. For me it was fine, just keep this in mind if you want to sleep early.
It was the cheapest hostel, it's ok for just sleeping there and if you want, have some drinks and food. Cafe opens at 11am.

SingaporeThe aircon is located at an awkward angle away from the beds so each sleeping pod was hot as hell
The location is perfect near Sunabe Beach

JapanRight next to the bar with no possibility to close the door. Noisy not only from customers but early in the morning from employees/owner, talking very loud and building things. Shower out of the building, small and very hot in a plastic cabin. In general it is a military area with extremely noisy planes every 10/15 minutes (not at night), which is of course not the hostels fault.
People working at the bar was very nice. The concept of the place is very nice in general and the hostel itself is clean.

SwitzerlandIt's only four box beds that are literally located INSIDE the coffee shop, which means that it can be loud in the evening and in the morning when they open the bar to the public. The space to store big luggage is very limited.
It's a cute cafe, close to the see, not too far away from restaurants and bus stops.

Australiathe beds were attached to the restaurant so can hear customers and music, no separate living area so you'd have to hang out in the restaurant, the light wasn't turned off at night so hard to sleep and road noise was very loud
the staff were nice, had dinner at the restaurant, was delicious and good value

JapanNot-so-great bathroom outside, so when the cafe is closed you will have to unlock/lock two doors. Toilet and bathroom together so if it’s in use you’ll have to wait. Pretty barebones in amenities, depending on cafe opening times, and not as clean as other places I’ve been to.
Comfortable bed, nice vibe! Friendly and helpful staff. Good access to surfing (no rentals at the hostel though, most staff doesn’t surf) and dive shops.

JapanThe room is not really closed, the aircon does not cool the upper bed. The coupon can’t be used as the bar is either closed or open late. The mattress was too thin.

United KingdomI don't like that it doesn't have a kitchen, a microwave or anything useful to someone staying longer than one night. For 3 nights of my stay, I was alone in the dorm, which is sad because I thought it was going to be a great place to meet people. The music in the cafe is a little too loud after 10pm. The cafe has no vegan options. If a hostel is not going to have a kitchen, surely the cafe has to cater to everyone. The WiFi is awful.
I think it's a cute little hostel in a very nice location. The staff were friendly. It's nice that they were installing an indoor shower unit, to save guests from leaving the building to use the outdoor shower.
