A quiet, calm hotel, with a great location for exploring Takayama with a short walking distance to all locations of interest. The staff were exceptionally kind and our room was comfortably spacious.

The room was very small and there is very little storage space (shelves/hooks). Good for a couple of nights but wouldn't want to stay so much longer than that

Compact Rooms: The rooms are on the smaller side, which might be a consideration for some guests. Parking Can Be Tricky: While parking is available, the immediate lot can fill up. There's an additional covered parking area, but you might need to ask the staff for assistance to find it.

Excellent Location: This large hotel is within walking distance of all the main attractions, making sightseeing incredibly easy. Great Nearby Restaurants: There are numerous excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Good Breakfast: The breakfast offered a good variety and was a pleasant way to start the day.

Not a lot of character. Relatively few amenities in the room, just 2 tea bags a day. You have to go downstairs for coffee. But overall a good option.

The glass railing on the outside bath (on women's side) is blurred, unlike in the pictures on the booking site. Understandably this is for privacy reasons, but it kind of defeats the purpose of the spa with a view, as you can't see a thing. There was moss growing between the tiles under the railing, which didn't really add to the relaxing atmosphere, so the outdoor bath was a bit of a letdown.

Good location. The hotel is only a few minutes walk away from the train station. Everything you need is within walking distance, including the old town and many tourist attractions. There's konbini right around the corner as well. The room was clean and comfortable, and looked as it did in the pictures. The staff was great; very kind and helpful. The front staff spoke English as well, so communication was easy and I had a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was decent and offered both western and Japanese options.

The bathroom sink and shower use the same tap so you can’t have someone using the sink while someone else is showering.

Yeah I’ve been staying in those more “budget hotels” and this one in particular is great. WiFi works, they have nice soft “western pillows”, great location, friendly staff, clean and comfy.

Heat of the spa water.

Good location as it was 5 minute walk to the railway and bus station and also close to the historic part of the town. I found the thermal pool was too hot which was a shame but it was a lovely spa facilitywith great body lotion etc.

Spa facilities were spacious and clean, nice enclosed outdoor area. Good location - within 10min walk from nearest attractions and train station. Spacious room.

Room was minuscule. Really only big enough for one person. Very little room for luggage. Hate having double bed against the wall. Room got very dry at night.

Location is not too far from the Takayama station. Lots of eateries and cafe along the hotel neighbourhood. Most of the places are within the walking distance. During raining days, umbrellas are provided for free of use.
