Everything is great!

This is our third stay at the Solaris Nishitetsu Hotel Kagoshima. The location is ideal, around the corner from the main bus station and in front of the Kagoshima Chuo Train Station. The views of Sakurajima, the train station Ferris wheel (lit at night) and AMU mall are unmatched. The staff is friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is excellent.

I totally enjoyed my stay at Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Kagoshima! The room was fantastic. I had a great view of the ferris wheel and it was spacious enough for a bath tub. Perfect for a soak after walking around all day. The staff at the breakfast buffet were extremely observant and friendly. They recognised me each morning and would greet me so excitedly. It made me feel so welcome. The buffet variety does not vary too much but that also gives you the chance to try certain dishes again and again. The location of the hotel is great because the underpass ensures that you do not get the hit by the weather and it also gives you access to the malls nearby or the train station with your luggage with ease. The staff greeted enthusiastically each time anyone came to the lobby and that definitely added to the comfort of the stay. Access to the floors via the elevator is via card only and that adds to the security as a solo traveller. I was also pleasantly surprised that some of the staff could speak some basic English and would communicate with me when I struggled to find the vocabulary to express myself. Thank you Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Kagoshima for making my stay so memorable. I have to add that I actually left my glasses behind and the staff members were kind enough to look for it and send it to the next place that I was staying at. I am grateful for the top-notch service received!

Great location, next to the central station! Great view of Mt. Sakurajima, which is the active volcano, and a view of eruption (smoke/cloud coming out from the top) was a bonus. Great bathroom, and a spacious room.

Staff were pleasant but think the language barrier was there. Even with a well known translation app, they seemed uninterested. Something to be aware of but I wouldn’t let it put me off staying there.

We like everything at the hotel. Nothing to complain.

I love the location as the hotel is right in front of Kagoshima Chuo Station where we got off from Shinkansen train. The room offers a spectacular view on the famous Sakurajima volcano. Room was clean and neat, the hotel arranged our room at the end of the corridor so it is very quiet and comfort.

Room was very poky with the double bed pushed up against the wall. Very difficult for 2 people to access the bed. There was no real place to put your suitcases.

Room size. For this price I would expect a bigger size of the room. For 2 people with suitcase it's too small. Also the check in experience with the assisted self check in was a bit strange. I do not see the point of this

I have booked a room with a view of the volcano and it was definitely a good idea to pay more for this view. Absolutely great. Location is perfect. Just next to JR as well as airport bus
