Not close to a lot of food options, especially for dinner . However the options I had i really enjoyed and thought were affordable.

Well kept, stylish, affordable and lots of amenities like coffee, tea, a kitchen, and snacks at all times. The staff were wonderful as well. Also close to beautiful temples.

The location is a bit far from old town (appx 1,5km), but that wasn't problem for us as the public transportation works well and the location was lovely to stay as it was quiet.

The guesthouse was really clean, quiet and with great atmosphere. The staff was really helpful and the breakfast was good, western style. The shower facilities were excellent and always clean.

Its not a big bother but its a little bit far from a subway station. Generally it wouldn’t bother me but in july it was a but of a sweat :)

Its very clean. Staff speak good english. Quiet and lovely. Free breakfast really a nice touch and the coffee in the morning. Really felt very homie. Guest brollies amazing.

Location was very quiet, which was lovely, however it made it harder to get to the main area with a young child. Walking took us about 45 minutes to get to the market or near the station. We ended up taking taxis or a bus the last few days due to heat.

Loved the staff, very friendly and kind. They helped us with information and tips for watching the festival. Breakfast was delicious, the complimentary breakfast was fresh fruit and toast, yogurt, coffee, milk, and OJ. The bathroom and beds were clean and comfortable.

Genuinely kind and helpful owners and staff. They went out of their way to engage with us, make us comfortable and ensure we had some good plans for each day. They took particular care of our 9 year old son and were so lovely with him. They provided a daily free breakfast which was very filling with plenty of options like fruit, toast and yoghurt. Tea and coffee and cold water station available all day. Easy to catch local buses just down the road and and get to kyoto train station. Lovely little meandering pathways off the main road worth exploring also. Close to a fantastic Kyoto ceramic shop and shrines and temples. Also close to museum. Staff happy to call for an uber if you would like that option. They have bikes for your use and also umbrellas. We stayed in the private quad bunk room, which was convenient, comfortable and quiet. Aircon and a powerful fan in the room. Our son was particularly excited about the nintendo wii games in the main area!

Could not fault, 30 min walk to main train station, but only 15 minute walk to stunning parts of old Kyoto

The staff is wonderful, super helpful and kind. Always giving nice recommendations and really helpful information on how to go around Kyoto and the best gems to visit. The breakfast was also very nice and the stay overall was excellent. Everything organised, clean, rooms were spacious and each of them have lockers enough spacious to put your luggage.

There was a faint smell in the room, likely from the tatami mats, but it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our stay at the guesthouse.

The people at the guesthouse were incredibly kind and helpful, which really made the stay special. The breakfast was also very nice to start the day and generous.

Lovely owner. Takes the time to get to know you and is very caring. The room is very clean and the cleaning service is immaculate. The owner also gives advice based on your itinerary which was very helpful!

Superb hosts, great location and a relaxed atmosphere. The owner took the time to chat to me, offered recommendations for my second day and helped with transport information back to Kyoto station. Great little breakfast selection to set you up for the morning. Nice communal area to socialise with other guests.
