While the location is a little far from the main area of the town, you can easily traverse the distance with a bike in a few minutes, furthermore after dark the area in which the hotel stands becomes extremely useful as it is close to all the actual services of the village, such as the ATM and the Convenience store

The staff are an extremely lovely couple who are passionate about what they do. The owner of the inn is a genuine Hida born and raised man who used to be an engineer and you can see that in the way he runs his facilities, they are both extremely clean and are among the best you will be able to find in all of shirakwa go. Unlike other inns within the city, you are able to rent a bike for an extremely small price directly from the front desk, there are decent food options aswell, and both the living space downstairs and the rooms themselves are very beautiful and unique compared to other facilities in the city. I would highly recommend this inn for anyone traveling in general but especially if you are traveling with more than one person.

We arrived a little late to GuestHouse Shirakawaga-Go Inn but were welcomed warmly by the staff. We were able to park our car right outside the front entrance, which was very convenient. The property offered bike rentals, so we decided to rent bikes for the following day at only ¥1,000 a bike. The lounge/kitchen area was very comfortable, and we enjoyed eating our meals and having coffee with the beautiful view of the rice fields and mountains. The bedroom was simple and comfortable, and the facilities in the property were clean.

We had a fantastic stay at this apartment. Everything was spotless and very well organized – you could tell great care is taken to keep it clean and comfortable. The location was ideal, close to everything we needed, with easy access to public transport and key attractions. What truly stood out was the team: everyone we interacted with was incredibly helpful, kind, and genuinely welcoming, which made our experience even more enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Definitely a 10 out of 10!

The property was clean, tidy. The lounge area (shared) has a great view out into the snowy landscape. The rooms were perfectly good. Service was amazing from the staff. He was very hospitable! Even with the morning shuttle to the Shiragawa-go tourist spot. Would stay here again!

Given the price, I would not recommend this accommodation. The entire guesthouse is well-kept and really clean. However, we could clearly hear the other guests during the night as the walls are really thin, and the beds were not the best. The staff is really helpful and try their best to answer all our questions. The location is quite far from Shirakawa-go’s center (approx. 30 min)

The most beautiful and warm guesthouse I have ever stayed in. The common area was particularly great, the windows facing out to the mountains were amazing. No faults at all!!! Shirakawa-go is a small town with nothing much open at night so prepare for that by stocking up at the convenience store. It’s about a 10 min walk away from the guesthouse. There is a very small family-run convenience store that is closer but is cash only (try to go there if you can! The staff are lovely). The staff at the guesthouse were unreal! So helpful from as soon as we arrived. Make sure to book their bus terminal shuttle before you get there, don’t make our mistake and try to do the walk cause it isn’t fun! They were funny, kind and always willing to help with anything at all. This was my favourite place I stayed in through all of Japan and I couldn’t recommend it more. Thank you so much for having us! We’re forever grateful.

The location was a bit far from the bus terminal. We arrived around 5pm, it was dark with lots of snow and the walk from the bus terminal to the INN was a little difficult.

The property was excellant. Truly value for money. The cost was very very good in comparison to some of the other properties in this location. The property was very aesthetic and good value for money. Enjoyed our stay.

Walls are really thin so you can immediately hear noise from the other rooms. Its a good walk from the bus station so its quite a hassle to bring luggage especially during winter.

Staff was really nice and welcoming. Nonetheless, our stay was pretty comfortable as the facilities were clean. They offer a free shuttle to and from the bus station which is also nice but there is a set time for it.
