Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanThe weather was not ideal for the beach but that was not the fault of the hotel. We went in August and was able to soak in the tub on the rainy day
We enjoyed the spacious room, tub on the balcony was the best! The hotel was located in a good area with restaurants and places to drive and visit.

JapanThe only thing I didn’t like was the sink handles. They were awkward and it seems like dirt was stuck inside them.

JapanThe facilities were satisfactory and met the basic needs, though they didn't exceed expectations. Overall, the experience was pleasant.
During my stay, I was particularly impressed by the stunning onsen view from the public bath, at least from the male's perspective. The scenic beauty added a tranquil and refreshing element to the bathing experience. Highly recommended for those seeking a serene escape.

SwitzerlandIf you miss to book dinner in advance, there I'll be no option for you to get some food. Unfortunately we missed the notice in Japanese where this was pointed out and it would be great if the hotel would take respect of guests not speaking/reading Japanese. The hotel is located in a shady part of the bay and we had a room at the 3rd floor where the onset for public visitors is located, which is not the bad thing but from there you see mostly at the onsen building which is no fun and you miss most of the sea view. Should be better from 4th floor or higher.
When we arrived the personnel did a pre-check and luagge was promptly transferred to our room. English speaking person instructed us about the hotel facilities and offer Kimono wear which I guess is recommend of you have Dinner there. The onsen on the balcony of our room was great despite the fact that you hardly can look out or want to look at from the 3rd floor. The room is in Japanese style with Tatami and cosy beds which we found quite soft. The AC was a bit noisy. The toilet is separated from shower and washing area. The room overall is quite big and comfy. Parking is about a couple of minutes walk away.

FranceConfusing reservation on booking .com : it seemed that Kaseiki dinner and breakfast were included, but it was not the case when we arrived at the hotel. Disappointing, also disappointing the fact that no arrangement could be made for dinner and breakfast.
Very kind and welcoming staff. Nice hotel, nice location and view. Private outdoor onsen is wonderful

United StatesParking was off site with no valet. Meaning if it’s raining, too bad you are going to walk to your car. Facilities were fine but obviously dated and worn if you know where to look. But overall exceptional service and a relaxing stay. English speakers on staff too.
Really great location and exceptional service.

JapanThe restaurant was closed for maintenance on Monday, which was unexpected.
The queen suite was amazing - spacious, authentic feeling and the open air hot spring was amazing to use. Gorgeous view of the ocean and a lovely bath. The pictures aren’t doing the hotel justice - it looks way newer and more luxurious in real life. We were well stocked with amenities, which were lovely with nice fragrances. The check in experience was very welcoming. We were served tea and delicious matcha crème brûlée. Incredible! The building itself is very beautiful, located right next to picturesque cliffs, which had a little hiking trail.

We loved everything about the hotel. The in-room private hot spring tub on the balcony was top. The onsen, spacious and with seaview, is one of the best we have had. The highlight was definitely the kaiseki dinner in our private dining area! We highly recommend this property.
