Female shared toilet has only two cubicles which is kind of limited given there are 8-9 rooms on the floor we were staying on. Onsen is small with only space good enough for 2 pax.

It’s right next to Tateyama station. Very convenient when you plan to go on the alpine route.

Located just by the train stations. Perfect location for starting or finishing the main part of the Alpine Route. The room was nice. We enjoyed very much dinner and breakfast. Lovely small hotel!

Very close to the station. The staff were lovely and helpful. You have to eat at the property as there are no restaurants that stay open in the evening. (We we were there in November). This wasn’t an issue as the food was great. All traditional Japanese.

Excellent location for quick alpine route ticket purchase. Really clean and those that worked there were very friendly despite the language barrier. Bathing clothes provided and onsen was small but did the job.

The room lacked a private bathroom or shower. While the shared bathrooms were clean and pleasant, the public bath was uncomfortable as the changing room opens directly into a hallway, allowing anyone passing by to see. Larger partitions would improve privacy.

The staff was very kind and friendly. The room was clean and the futon was comfortable.

Nothing special to complain about, just note that the rooms don’t have their own toilet, but the shared toilets are right outside in the hallway.

This traditional-style hotel is literally next to the ticket office. The location is perfect, the rooms are in very good condition and very clean. The staff are so nice, very helpful and the hotel is family run. Dinner and breakfast is also very good. There is also a hot bath on the first floor (お風呂)

There is no private bathing and no private showers. The price was high because of the location, but we expected at least a private shower for these costs.

I opted for "pay later" when I booked on the APP but was charged right after booking. When I called the assistant asked if I had captured the screen to prove. It's rediculous! I asked the supervisor to handle the case and he just replied rudely that it was the request of the hotel to pay and hung up. I sent an email to ask the hotel and the reply was not. It was Booking.com to charge me. It is a dishonest deed and I feel much diasppointed!

The friendly and helpful staff. They showed us the way to park our cars and allowed us to store our luggage for an extra night even though we did not stay at their hotel.

Only cold water basin in room, shared toilet and wash basin. Shower in public bath (onsen). No chair in room.

Warm welcome, free parking arranged, very good cooking, newly refurbished room. Everything spotlessly clean. Comfortable futon and pillow. Located next to station for Alpen route .

The owners are super lovely and friendly! Despite the fact that we were foreigners and our Japanese is quite basic, the owners still made us feel at home. They constantly engaged in conversations (in Japanese) and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible.
