Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI obviously didn't do a lot of research, and this is a love hotel! The location was really far out, but the price reflects that, at least the walk from the train station wasn't too bad.
The room was big and the food was good too (we were too scared to go out and come back in!).

JapanThe rooms were not noise proof, and the staff didn't speak English very well. The toilet was not very good, and there were problems with flushing. The condoms that were provided broke almost immediately and were not replenished.
There were lots of freebies at the reception that you could take up to your room. The aura was nice. There was also a breakfast option (you have to pay for it) and the food was nice. The cleaning service was good too.

GermanyIt is quite from from the city center, but wasn't too far from a metro station.
The room was good and had a nice big bed and a full sized bathtub, which is unusual in Japan.

United KingdomThe room has 2 windows and there should have been a lot of natural light. However, all of the windows were blacked-out. In addition, the windows could only be opened a small way, so there was not much fresh air either. The dated decor was dark and the lighting was very dim. There was minimal storage for clothes - just a small cupboard for hanging; no chest of drawers for folded clothing. Wifi was truly terrible: unstable and slow. Meals are delivered to your door, but there is no table at which to sit and eat a meal properly. There are no common areas: reception is a slit in the wall - it is not possible actually to see the receptionist; no lounge, no dining room. Let’s be clear: this is a ‘love hotel’, where discretion and privacy are paramount, and I would say it should be advertised for adults only. I was unaware of the type of hotel I was booking. However, even though I was initially a little leery about staying, it is a perfectly good hotel on the edge of town with everything you could want, at a fantastic price. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet (we never saw another guest, for obvious reasons) - with great staff. I would stay here again, at the same price.
Excellent value for money: very large room, king-sized bed; large, zoned bathroom (separate toilet, washing, and makeup areas), two-seater sofa. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, if a little well-used. It had all the amenities and more: curling iron, extra-wide screen tv, hot and cold bottled water, microwave, fridge, a massage chair, and a vending machine for toys. The A/C unit worked perfectly and the room was very quiet. The staff were excellent: friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier. I was going to rate this hotel a ‘9’ except for the reasons below.

ThailandThis is an adult leisure hotel nothing in association with Renaissance chain. The name is a bit misleading and it is quite disappointing for a Bonvoy member.

BelgiumWifi did not work. Check-in time is weird. Yes I know it's a love hotel, but if you sell it as a room in a hotel you can book, why not have normal check in hours. Anyway, checking in half hour earlier means +50% in cost. It's only useful as a cardio hotel. Don't book if you're just looking for a normal place to sleep.
The bed was comfortable.

JapanFirst I didn’t know this is a love hotel. I usually book hotel on booking.com but until now there have never been any love hotel on this app so I kind of feel safe when book hotels here. This time was different. Why were love hotel on this app??? I was shocked when I arrived to the hotel. The was not that big and it smell bad, like smoking. The hair dryer cannot be used because it was broken. The room smell badly is the biggest minus point. What a pity.
