Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IcelandDust in the corners like with spiderwebs, I think I saw the same dead moth on the toilet room floor the whole time. The bathroom did give us icky feelings, the sealing looks slimy, black mold spots here and the, even on the little bath chairs, did notice that they had been scrubbed clean our 2 or 3rd bath. There are smoking rooms across the hall and some people leave the door open so you need to be fast in and out of your room so the smell doesn't get in!
Room was nice. Staff really helpful! This place is really a fixer upper! It has so much potential!!! I really wanted to like this place, but I think it was because I could see what this place could be! It was right across a kid's playground so nice! We spent the whole day playing there. And it's just a short ride away from the Ghibli park.

United States20 minute walk from the nearest train station. Had to order breakfast at check in, staff didn’t tell us. The elevator was quick to close and tried eating my mom, but no one got hurt so it’s ok.
The traditional Japanese room with tatami mats was very cute. The little onsen was very nice too. Public bath. Staff also accommodated us and let us check in early. Right next to a large nature park, very beautiful area

CanadaThe room had a bit of a musty smell but it's an old wooden building, so it couldn't really be helped. There weren't too many places to eat nearby, so the location wasn't ideal, but we had a very busy trip up to this point so it was nice to slow down.
My group and I enjoyed the traditional room. There was a small sink and a private toilet in the room also. We took advantage of the free laundry on the property also and the small onsen. The room was spacious and a fun experience for the night. The staff were also very kind and charming. The park across the street was also beautiful and fun to explore.

MexicoThe main bathroom is in another building, so you have to cross a small path and may feel cold from outside. The closest convenience store is a 10 minute walk.
The building felt really traditional. We thought it was going to be cold, but the futon was comfortable and warm. There was plenty of space in the room. There is a beautiful park in front of the hotel.
