Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyWhat a wonderful place! Ryosha Tsukiakari offers everything you wish for! The rooms are spacious (We could even get a glimpse of Mount Fuji from our room!) and the facility offers a variety of extra acitivites. Above all, the staff is wonderful and very supportive. We were helped immediately and with great kindness. thank you so much! Also, the breakfast is delicious and served with the best coffee we had while in Japan.

United StatesWonderful stay despite the cloudy/rainy conditions the whole day we were there! We were sad that Mt Fuji didn’t make an appearance, but the staff/managers (Kotomi and Tomo) more than made up for it. Tomo welcomed us and let us check in even though we reached early, and then brewed the best coffee we had during our stay in Japan. Breakfast was light and just right. Tomo let us use the bikes and we rode around the lake. Gave us some excellent food recommendations too. And upon check out they lit a nice fire so our shoes and clothes would dry out. Would stay longer if we had more time. Highly recommended!

AustraliaIt's a bit far away from convenient stores and sights. You better get a car with you, or being a keen cyclist. We had a car so no issues for us.
Quite new property, Japanese style/large/comfortable room. Possibility to reserve a private family bathroom. Free bike rental. Friendly/helpful staff (Tomo). Great terrace for breakfast/coffee under trees with nice views.

PortugalNothing, we absolutely loved everything and wished we could’ve stayed more nights
What can I say.. we loved our time here. The house is incredible, the manager was super nice and the area was beautiful. If you’re wondering to book this property or not, please do it because I bet you won’t regret it. We stayed here 3 days and it was our favorite stay in Japan. I can’t point out anything that we didn’t like. The manager helped us with everything that we asked and he also did great coffee and breakfast! The tub was a gigantic plus and the little restaurant in front of the house too. It might seem a bit ‘far’ from the main attractions but it was amazing to be away from all the people and the bus connections worked very well! You can also use free bikes to go around the lake or go on nice walks in the area. We even saw a deer one day when we were walking home. 5* stay, thank you very much for everything

United KingdomHaving to leave!
Beautiful place to stay! Location is a bit out of the way but this suited us as we wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful. We actually stayed 4 nights though had to book on Booking.com in 2 separate blocks of 2 nights each. This meant we had to change room part way through our stay and this was all very smoothly handled and easy for us. We had 2 nights in a room with beds and 2 nights in a room with foutons and really liked both rooms. The onsen was pleasant to use though only one was operational whilst we were staying which meant sometimes a bit of a wait for a shower but this didn't really affect us much. We loved the bikes provided and used them everyday, we were able to cycle to all the nearby places we wanted to visit including some popular tourist spots.

TurkeyIt was a great experience for me and my family. We stayed there for one night and we wish to stay there at least 2 nights. The host was a great person and so kind. The place was super clean the room has private toilet but for bath you need to reserve the onsen in the facility for private use. We were late to reserve the bath for our use so that we missed the experience of onsen. May be next time. The location is little bit away from the lake but this is a big plus. 10 minute walk from lake to the place was great experience especially at night. In such a safe country and such a safe area, it was great to walk with my family. We saw male and female deers at night. We saw hawks . In the morning when our son opened the window he said there is a mountain. Then i looked and it was Fuji. We forgot the room has fuji view. The breakfast and the coffe was nice and enough for us. We enjoyed the stay there and recommend to anybody who reads this comment

United KingdomA lovely property set in pretty surroundings, with Mt Fuji visible from the breakfast table. I’m so happy to have stayed here, it was a lovely place to return to at the end of each day. The room was comfortable, with heating / aircon, a fridge, TV, wash basin and toilet. Although the bathroom was shared, don’t be put off by this. I didn’t have a problem accessing it and it was always spotlessly clean. The cinema room is great, and you can borrow bikes to get around the lake if you choose. Breakfast was delicious, and the host - Tomosan - could not have been friendlier or more helpful. I’m delighted to have chosen Ryosha Tsukiakari and can’t recommend it highly enough. I’m already planning to come back!
