Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceGreat, varied breakfast. Great facilities. Full range of ammenities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderfully positioned near the line that takes you straight to Ghibli Park and another train line m. Very convenient. Our son got very sick and they assisted us so well. The lovely Filipino staff member called Maribik was so wonderful translating and helping us with our son’s medical needs. She was so caring and professional and a real asset to the team here at Route Inn Grand Nagoya Thank you for everything!

BulgariaI wanted to get some sleep and placed the no cleaning/do not disturb sign on the door. Staff called me on the phone at 10am to confirm I don't want housekeeping which kind of defeats the purpose.
Great location close to the train/subway station. Plenty of shops and restaurants around. Great starting point for going to the Toyota museum. Nagoya attractions are maybe half an hour away by subway.

IrelandWe couldn’t use the Onsen since 3 people out of our 4 had tattoos. It was very disappointing that we couldn’t enjoy this experience. Majority of foreign tourists have some sort of tattoo so it’s sad that we can’t participate in cultural experience just because of artistic expression.
It was close to the train station and the train line to Ghibli Park. We absolutely loved the fact that the hotel’s decor was in the spirit of the Ghibli theme and we enjoyed finding different characters throughout the hotel. It made the whole trip this little bit more magical. The breakfast menu was varied and delicious. Everyone found something that they liked. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

United StatesI was excited to book this brand new hotel for our reservation at Ghibli Park. The location is perfection, and Fujigaoka is a really nice area outside of Nagoya city. That said, the beds are as hard as rocks!!! After long days at the park and walking, whew, they were .. not great. Of course the rooms will be small, this is a standard Japanese hotel. It is what it is. The hotel did allow us to drop our bags off before check-in, so that was appreciated. The bathrooms were well equipped also. I would stay here again to visit Ghibli Park, but I wouldn’t be super thrilled about sleeping there again.

MalaysiaDue to its popularity, using the lifts / elevators in the morning around 7:00 - 8:00 can take a while because there's only two lifts, and if you're at a lower floor like me (floor no. 4) it will probably be full once it reaches you with all the people checking out at the same time from the higher floors. I would advise pressing 'Up' and going into the lift first and then wait until it goes all the way up (12th floor is the highest) then down to the lobby.
I liked the proximity to Fujigaoka Station. I wanted to visit the Ghibli Park so this place was a perfect in-between. It's at the end of the Higashiyama Line from Nagoya Station. To get to Ghibli you take the Limino line from Fujigaoka Stn and it takes just over 40 minutes of total travel (walking plus train). The room is really spacious and I liked the big desk with footrest in front of the TV. The bathroom had a bathtub and although small it has everything you need. There's a Lawson's kombini just outside the hotel that's 24-hour so if you feel hungry late at night it's very quick to go and buy some food. Everything was clean and tidy as well. Outside the lift/ elevator at each floor there's a microwave oven that anyone can use to heat up your food.

United StatesEverything was great during my stay. They have an Onsen which was a relaxing experience, I slept in, which means the place was very comfortable and quiet since I have light sleep. Staff was friendly and informative. It’s close to the bus station to go to Ghibli park, just a short walk which was convenient for the purpose of my trip.
