JapanThe walls are too thin, we can hear absolutely everything from the next room or corridor. Fine if nobody is there but not ideal when somebody comes back at 1am and is chatting in the corridor. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
The location is great, the breakfast was the highlight, the quality was great, good choice and the breakfast room staff were the best. The room was a good size, clean and amenities available from reception.

The breakfasts were very good with a varied choice depending on whether you were European or Japanese. The hotel was ideally situated near the railway station and the bus for Takamatsu airport stopped right outside the hotel door. The room facilities were ideal and the room was cleaned every day. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

AustraliaThe room we stayed in was very small and was next to the cleaner's cupboard/room, so it could be quite noisy.
Great breakfast with something to suit everyone and a convenient location near lots of undercover shops and restaurants. About a 10 minute lazy walk to the station and 25 minutes walk to Ritsurin garden (a must see). Also close to Takamatsu Castle. Loved the bikes for hire, we just wish we could get them every day! Staff were very friendly.

United StatesThe AC wasn't great. We were lucky that the weather wasn't hot so we just opened the window a little.
The room was a good size and we liked the Japanese screens on the windows. Room was very clean and the staff were exceptional. The bathroom was bigger than other hotels we have stayed in Japan. Staff was very helpful with our baby, offering a bed guard and removing one of the beds so we had space for the travel cot we brought with us.

Hong KongThe breakfast time was a bit rush, as they set the last order for fried eggs at 9:30 am. We were there at 9:10 am and the lady urged us to order our egg choices immediately... Since the chef only prepared the eggs for guests, I think the last order can be extended to 9:45 am. The housekeepers didn't clean the cups well. Carpark fee at Y1,200 per day should be waived for guests booking two or more rooms; nearby hotels might offer free parking!
Hotel location is excellent as the shopping alleys are within 3-minute walk. It's clean and comfortable, and the reception staff were all friendly and courteous. The buffet-style breakfast was good with western and Japanese choices of food. The tables were clean and tidy, and the restaurant was stylish with high quality deco.
