Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ThailandThe room felt a bit dated, and when we first arrived, it smelled of smoke, so we had to ask for it to be deodorised. We also found a cockroach in the room, but the staff handled it well and gave us a room upgrade, which we appreciated.
The location was super convenient—right near the main road that leads to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. I really enjoyed the little snack area in the afternoon with local treats, drinks, and coffee. Breakfast was also very good. The corner bath with a view over the city was a lovely touch. The staff were kind and helpful, especially when we needed assistance.

United KingdomThe tech in the room was a little outdated (namely the TV) and a knob in the headboard of the console didn't work.
The hotel is close to many places to visit. A 10 minute walk to Hiroshima Dome and just behind the hotel is a flurry of nightlife catering to all tastes. The hotel itself had some very nice touches, such the room was a good size, (compared to other hotels in Japan) there was a fresh pair of pyjamas on the bed every night and the room was cleaned every day without fail. There was a nice ambience in the lobby with a sort of snack bar available to guests every day from 3pm, that had cake and a few different types of crackers and several types of beverages. There was also a counter to amenities at the bottom of the lift, so you could help yourself to toothbrushes etc....

NetherlandsIt was pretty noisy. We could hear the people in the room next to us arguing with their kids, we heard it when they would shower, when they would blow dry their hair, etc. This was something we didn't expect from this type of hotel. The shower was also kind of annoying, because you couldn't stand under it without spraying the entire room.
The hotel is very good located, within easy walking distance of the Peace Memorial Park. The station was a 30 minute walk. The room was large and had a very nice view of the Peace Boulevard. Breakfast was good.

TaiwanThe "corner room,' we booked was oddly designed- the bathtub was stuck in an odd and tight triangle corner without a shower curtain, which means getting in and out of the tub was a danger and the bathroom floor was already flooded after the shower. The room door opened to hit the sofa, and the bathroom door and the closet door open into each other. there was very little space for your "stuff" so we constantly had to put things back in the suitcase. It's not really a typical "corner room" so don't waste your money on it.
Most staff people were kind and nice. We had some negative experience at check in. We arrived around noon and were told that check in was 3pm. We told them we could come back to pick up the key at 3pm but we wanted to complete the check in process first. They would not allow that. I said I've never heard of this and every hotel I stayed with would check the guests in when they arrive even if it means rooms are not ready. Upon our insistence they let us check in. When we went to our room, we found that it wasn't the room we had booked and paid for, so we had to go down to the receptionist and asked them to give us the correct room. They first told me the room we had booked was full but they offered an upgrade for two nights. I responded that an upgrade is fine but we are there for 6 nights, not 2 nights. The lady seemed not aware of that. She went to check and came back with a key to the right room we booked.

United KingdomNothing really. Only slight issue was.the lack.of English spoken by Reception staff, which I found surprising for an international hotel. They were all super-helpful and professional though, and Google translate saved the day!
A very plush hotel, right in the centre of Hiroshima, an easy 10 minute walk from the peace garden and other tourist spots. No shortage of excellent, and very good value eateries nearby (make sure to try the Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki - completely delicious!). A great buffet breakfast too - well worth it, to set you up for the day. Welcome snacks and soft drinks available early evening, which is a good place to relax after a busy day out & about.

IndiaRoom sitting a table and chair could have been provided instead of a sofa cum bed. Laundry service even if you are willing to pay for the laundry the staff discourage you to give laundry saying it is expensive. Also second day laundry was redelivered to me without washing and explanation by staff was sorry I cannot speak English.

AustraliaThe pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable which is a shame because the bed was really comfortable. We would have given this hotel a 10 had it not been for the terrible pillows
Staff were welcoming and professing. The hotel and the room were spotless. The room was quiet despite being next to the laundry supply room and laundry. Quiet once the washing machine stopped. The bed was comfortable and the toilet and shower being separate was a bonus. Great view from the 20th floor. The included breakfast was local focussed and had a good range for most tastes. The location was brilliant with a bus stamp outside the door and across the road. This made travelling to and from the train station easy. The location was in easy walking distance to the Peace Park. There were many restaurants within easy walking distance as well.
