Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe room is kinda old. But I don’t really have complains tbh. The location is in the middle of nowhere haha. But quite convenient since they have shuttle and if you missed it, can just take taxi from Ohito station for only ¥680.
The public baths! Tried both public baths and I think both were nice. They have both indoor and outdoor. We enjoyed them a lot. The location is in a hill, you can see a little bit of mount Fuji. Dinner and breakfast are actually quite okay.

CanadaI will give 9 of 10 in this hotel, if the food can be more tasty stuff, that would be perfect!
This is a very relaxing hot spring hotel, silent, clean, staff friendly, and my room is Japanese style room, I never expect it is a separate villa, not in the hotel main building, Wow! Hot spring pool is big and hot enough, facing the Fuji mountain, such a good view.

SpainNothing really, but only some subjective points, like the difficulty to sleep on the floor. Only me (75 years old), the girls and wife had no problem.
We had stayed several times in this Ryokan, that should be sufficient proof for our satisfaction. It was a stop over for one day in our way from Tokyo to Kyoto. Dinner the night of arrival and breakfast for the morning of check out. Enjoyed very much the multiple choices of Japanese food. The family hot bath was perfect as always, especially because we could lower the water temperature for the girls. The room has a balcony, that if not cloudy could view Mount Fuji. Summer is not good season for that.

United StatesCould use some love. Wallpaper was peeling in places and the screen doors were spotted with stains. Also found some hair in the sink. I also believe some mosquitos got into our room at night.
With a Japanese-style room, we got an open air bath. That was a nice plus. The futon mats provided were comfortable.

SwedenWe booked the family bath but it was not so special so I woulnd't book it next time.
I liked everything about this place. I experienced both the room with the private bath and the annex. Both are very charming. I liked that not every part of the facility is renovated which allows visitors to feel the history of the place. The price of the stay is very reasonable considering what this place offers including the amazing view of Mount Fuji. Walking distance to Apita.

AustraliaRoom: We gave 2 stars for the room as it is very old. You can see walls with markings and paint coming off. The bathroom was very old eventhough we had our own bath onsen, the tub itself really need some renovation. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. As we booked an ANNEX, it is not at the main building. There's stairs and long passage way where we need to go outside to locate the room. It is dark along the passage way to the room without much lighting. The washing machine and dryer outside looks old with no maintenance. The best part of the room was the amazing view of Mt Fuji.
We've booked an ANNEX room during our stay. Staffs: The front reception was very friendly and polite. He was also able to explain everything to us in simple English which was great. Check in and out was very easy. Facilities: There's a few free of charge karaoke room for guests, mahjong room, ping pong room and onsen for all guests. The onsen can get busy due to lots of guests in the hotel. Amenities: pyjamas and slippers are provided at lobby. Others are locate in the room. All essentials are provided. Including hair dryer, fridge and kettle. Parking: Plenty of parking for free for guests. Meals: Lots of options for both breakfast and dinner. The canteen is also has a great view of mount fuji!

Australia- the plate in dining room is not clean enough, still have a mark on them * every single of them!!!! - kind of racist on dinner meal. if you cant read Japanese, you cant get special meal such as Crab, fish or claim - food not variety as before i have been here more than 5 times in the past 10 years. every time i feel like the drop the quality of food but i still have a hope that after Covid they might improved. Unfortunately this time will be my last stay in this hotel. i feel racism about Japanese language in the dining place, when all Japanese can have streaming crab, grill crab and stream fish but i only can have a normal meal and finger foods. Staff said i have to tell them if i need such a kind of that food before when i book the room. however they are no details on the website saying such a thing. last time i stay here everyone can have a crab without reservations but this time they required without English announcement !!!
friendly staff
