I would appreciate a la cart dinning available on request (for bookings that do not include dinner), since the area dosen't have many restaurants.

We stayed in a recently renovated room which was outstandingly beautiful. Nice comfy bed, lovely bad tub which perfectly acts as a private onsen and big Tatami space. It's just a very beautiful place. Lobby, Garden, Rooms are all very japanese. Very beautiful. The self-serve bar counter is a big plus too!

The place is beautiful and the staff was so nice and welcoming. I can’t remember having met so dedicated staff. They guided me through my Japanese breakfast as I wasn’t used to the food. The manager came to great me and inquire about my well-being. So truly friendly. I will keep you in my memories

We enjoyed everything about our stay at Ohana. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A nice plus was the free drinks provided in the evening. Only slightly negative point was that the option to include dinner in the stay was not provided on my booking app. If you book this ryokan make sure your booking app is showing all options or contact the hotel directly. It seems like this issue only applies to some versions of the booking.com app. But this of course is no fault of the hotel itself :)

The room was super luxurious and spacious. It was well connected to all the attractions and they provide free entrance to the museum and the garden. There was also a boarding point for the canal ride right at the hotel itself. The breakfast was a v good introduction to a traditional Japanese breakfast and was very delicious. They also provided yukatas for use in the room.

Property was newly renovated when we visited and we enjoyed our stay very much. Very authentic Ryokan experience. Staffs were very nice and attentive. We opted for the breakfast inclusive option, and breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay.

This is a very special place because it's important historically. It was very magical to stay in a place like this. The room was spacious, the staff were professional and made everything in their hands to make our stay more special. It was my friend's birthday and we had a great time sipping nihonshu at the big tatami room. Would totally come back.

It's hard to think of anything that could be better at this place. The only thing I can think of is a bit more choice at dinner, but this is very minor.

This truly is a special place, far exceeding our expectations. It's not just a hotel but a destination, a cultural gem. The historical Great Hall and the Japanese garden are beautiful. In the evening you can sit on the edge of the Great Hall looking out on to the beautifully lit garden that surrounds a small lake. And the hotel provide you with sake and other drinks at no charge to aid a truly memorable experience. Our room was large, spacious, comfortable and clean, with a fabulous view over the garden. Breakfast was traditional Japanese, and of the highest quality. All the staff were courteous, and very helpful. There is an excellent museum right next door to the hotel to which entry is free to hotel guests. So don't miss it or the tour around the historical parts of the hotel. This is probably the most glowing review I have ever given on Booking.com, but it absolutely deserves it.

THE LOCATION .. IS EASY TO WALK AROUND THE AREA. FRIENDLY STAFF. HE IS SO HELPFUL. SPEAKS GOOD ENGLISH AND COMMUNICATION IS NOT A PROBLEM.

The breakfast was amazing! We had a room with tatamis, which was spacious and comfortable. The futons were pretty hard but we slept really well on them. It is a nice place to go if you want to do the boat tour on the canals and see something different than the usual touristic attractions. Also we ate really good unagi in the town.

Our room was comfortable with nice view and a relaxing feel. The room seemed worn down with the fabric cover a guest chair torn.

It is apparent that Ohana has had a very successful business. The gardens are beautiful and traditional architecture is amazing. Your staff is very attentive and supportive. We especially enjoyed meeting Shizuka. Breakfast is the best we have eaten during our 12 days in Japan.
