I find the rooms in Monterey hotels in Japan are a little more spacious than most. This is a very nice hotel with easy access by foot to Sapporo train station, Orix car rental, and the city centre. Overall great value for money.

Overall it is a good stay. Would be good to have more lighting outside the hotel, to avoid tripping when walking back in evening. Onsen was closed for cleaning the day after we checked in.

Location is a bit further away from JR Sapporo

Room is spacious and clean. We liked that there is public bath and onsen facilities. The hotel was served by the Chuo Airport Bus from Shin-Chitose Airport, but note that it would take around 1.5 hour. There is a Seica mart (convenience store) just downstairs.

I suppose the bathroom could be considered somewhat small, but spacious enough compared to hotels in most major cities.

Gorgeous interior and welcoming staff cast in unimposing Western decor. Cost was the best in the city for what you get. Comfortable, clean, spacious enough.

Noise? Some reckless drivers were driving loudly diring the night and their sounds woke me up but I do not think this is Hotel’s fault. I just hope it could be better if something could be done.

Exceptional hospitality. Great location. Outstanding public bath, especially after long trip to the city and being smoked by Lamb BBQ. I could see some bad reviews about the breakfast but it was one of the greatest breakfast buffet I have ever had during Hokkaido trip.

A top notch 5 star hotel that exceeded all our expectations. It was lovely the moment you stepped into the lobby for check in all the way to checking out. Super clean and powerful Aircon to beat the summer heat. Onsen spa was great. Value for Money, no regrets paying a bit more for the super comfy and clean long stay

1.Onsen was at the other block, so little inconvenience. 2.Had to pay 1500 yen per day for parking. 3. Lounge closes at 930pm, so not much time to relax there.

⸻ I had an excellent two-day stay at Hotel Monterey Edelhof Sapporo. The location is unbeatable—just next to Sapporo Station and surrounded by beautiful attractions. The reception staff were welcoming and professional, and the lobby was elegant and inviting. My room was spacious, beautifully furnished with five-star quality décor, and equipped with a full range of amenities. It also featured outstanding noise insulation, ensuring a peaceful and restful stay. Although my reservation did not include breakfast, I regret not booking it online in advance, as it would have been available at half the price. I also didn’t have the chance to experience the on-site hot spring on the 14th floor, which I heard is a highlight of the hotel.

The hot spring closed at 10pm, which was too early if I were to return late, and would have been nice to peruse the hot spring after a late night.

The location is fairly okay, just a little tough to walk to with luggage. The room was very amazing and completely out of my expectations for the pricing. The breakfast was one of the better ones and I would say is very worth it for the price I paid for included, with a huge selection of food and incredible taste. The hot spring was very nice, and the complementary happy hour drink and free flow drinks and ice cream was a nice touch. The service at the hotel was also one of the better ones I experienced.

the public bath - it was so crowded, people were just choping places for each other inside the public baths. If they are going to allow so many people in at once, there should be some quality control.

location was great! it was a walking distance to all of the tourist attractions eg. Odori Park, Sapporo Tower and Tanukikoji shopping street :) also, there's this ramen shop called 北海道らーめん奥原流 久楽 本店 right behind the hotel which you really cannot miss that out! its amazing food with variety and affordable price :)
