Very hospitable family who greeted guests with great care! Especially loved the breakfast! The room was also spacious with the futon already laid out.

This inn look like a historical property . The Building n rooms are well maintained. My room hv tatami floor mats n it was a Japanese style room. A sliding wooden door dividers bedroom n sitting room . Everything works. For a ryokan experience, try this . Great value n centrally located in Asahikawa Cafes surround this property

Shared common bathrooms n shared common toilets . Bathroom located at ground floor while rooms are on first floor.

The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. I had to reschedule due to illness and they were very understanding. The room was comfortable, the bath was nice at the end of the day, and the breakfast was a treat. It was quiet and I didn’t see too many other people while I was there. They also let me park my motorcycle in their garage and helped me get it out in the morning. Wonderful ryokan, wonderful hosts.

The host and his daughter were the most thoughtful hosts ever. They even gave us a lift to Asahikawa JR train station when we left. Healthy and value-for-money breakfast sets (structured as a teishoku (定食), a set meal that includes a variety of dishes served together) available for 1,000 yen. The property has tatami mat floors in its rooms; they also provide most comfortable futon beds ever with buckwheat pillows, a nod to Showa-era ryokans. We were given two rooms - a living room and a bedroom with separate keys. The living room has a low table, so guests should get used to seiza (正座), which is kneeling on the floor or a tatami mat, with your knees together and feet flat. Guests should note that bathrooms, sinks, and toilets are separate and communal, as is customary in a Showa-era ryokan. The shower also has a hot bath available between 7pm and 11pm. You may also need to carry luggage up the stairs, as there is no lift here. It's really a no-frills window to past, traditional Japanese hospitality.

Can't complain about anything really. The property is old but clean and impeccable.

The owner is very friendly, the Japanese breakfast is rich and delicious, the futons in the room were very comfortable, the heating is sufficient, of course, there is a shared bathroom with a hot spring bath, which is very comfortable. When checking out, the owner also gave us a cute souvenir, which was very satisfying.

This family-owned ryokan was a lovely place to start our trip in Japan. The owners were incredibly kind and accommodating. The room was a comfortable place to relax after a long travel journey from the US and a day of walking around the city. The ryokan is located conveniently in the center of Asahikawa, making it a great place to visit without a car. That said, the parking was also very convenient and close by so it wasn't an issue for us to drive there and park. I would absolutely recommend this place if you're looking for a cozy, authentic Japanese stay in Asahikawa.

The breakfast was wonderful. The location is fantastic. Just a 3 minute walk from the nightlife street and a 5 minute walk from the shopping street. Walking down the nightlife street leads you directly to an AEON mall were there's loads of shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean, beautiful and felt really traditional. The bathroom and toilets were very clean. The owners were extremely kind to us. They gave us tips and recommendations going about Asahikawa, fed us with warm milk and cookies when we got back to the Ryokan early, give us a ride to the JR station on the last day and even gave us lovely souvenirs to bring back when we left. The owner had a Pikachu plushie wearing a uniform with SIN(Singapore Changi airport code) on it that he got from Singapore Airlines and he put it on the hood of his van when he was giving us a ride to the JR station. He even tried to offer it to us as we left. Me and my friends will definitely be staying here when we are back in Asahikawa.

    Nothing.

Absolutely incredible experience. The couple who runs the ryokan are the most lovely and kind people on Earth. The rooms are unbelievably clean and comfortable. The location is directly in the middle of the fun part of Asahikawa. It was a classic ryokan with mats as beds on the bamboo floor, shared bathroom, and a lovely breakfast each morning. I would never come to Asahikawa and stay anywhere else.

    Couldn't have been better.

Owners were so welcoming, attentive, and lovely. They brought us hot tea and cookies each day when we returned from skiing. There were yucatas for us to wear and the shower and bath were so relaxing. Beds were very comfy and breakfast was a delight.
