The staff, Leona, is super friendly and runs the place very good. It has a supermarket right in front with fresh sushi and the hostel has a kitchen so you can cook.

It had many conveniences like: entrance on ground level, bus stop within 25m, grocery store within 25m, area to hang wet clothes/ towels, in case of rain there is a laundromat within 100m, kitchen, toilets with bidet and two showers. Best of all, amazing atmosphere, staff is very helpful and nice! Eating dinner together Friday night was very enjoyable!

Everything’s fine :)

The host (Matsu) is very nice. He helped us call restaurants and gave us tips about the island. The facilities are clean and the rooms are cute. There is a nice terrace as well and you can rent snorkel gear/bicycles. They always cook dinner together in the evening so I’d recommend if you go there to keep some time for that!

Lovely, welcoming and sociable stay, Joined in on a few group meals which were expertly cooked by Miwa and Co, very nice and fun. Rent bikes and snorkelling gear from the property which was ideal. All round perfect Guest House experience

Bed is hard, luckily I was so tired it wasn't a big issue.

The owner is super friendly and made me feel very welcomed. It has a kitchen to prepare your own meals. The location is great! The airport bus stop is just outside and a well assorted supermarket just in front. And just 15 minutes walking to the center. Very very basic but clean, ok for one night, I had an overnight connection to Yonaguni.

Very easy check-in, well equipped and very friendly staff. Miwa made us feel very welcomed to Ishigaki. If you like to share moments with other people in a confortable guest house, Matsukaze is highly recommended.

If you want silence, no social contact, it’s not here. The bed is a little bit hard. No light inside the bunk bed.

Wasn’t an issue for me as I love a great social atmosphere, however if you’d rather have peace and quiet or are feeling antisocial, this hostel may not be for you as it’s quite small and the common area is right next to the ground floor dorm. Strictly quiet after 23:30 however.

Very rare that I give a 10 out of 10 but the hostel was incredible. The owners joined us for drinks and food in the common area every night and not only brought us together but also created a laugh and fun environment. The location is great, the hostel is as clean as can be, air con was at a great temperature, showers were spot on

They kept the doors and windows open into the evening and had the AC off which meant we had a lot of mosquitos inside

Everyone is very friendly! the location is great being across the road from a super market and right next to a bus stop that can take you into the main city or to the airport. If you feel like walking it's only a 15-20 minute walk into ishigaki city. Facilities are basic and clean.

It's not very clean, and only fans are used during the day, making it very hot

one of the male owners was a bit touchy. another girl working there tried to be super friendly and invite you to join for dinner (everyone eats together in the evening, sharing the price for ingredients) but she was almost too insistent and that annoyed me.

There is 2 shower rooms. One of them has a low ceilings that could cause them to bump their heads. The other one is totally fine. So it is not a big issues.

it is friendly hostel. It provides dinner options for guests to sign up if they have no idea about what to eat for the dinner. Also, it has snorkeling or diving tools for renting.
