The mattress are too soft for us. It will be prefect if the host provided the Japanese Tatami futon instead.

We arrived by drive, there are two car parks nearby, the host will guide you how to park. The host can communicate with English. Everything are very clean and tidy, with free laundry at the common area.We stayed in the 1st floor Japanese style room with private bathroom, it's good for family with kids. Fortunately, there are only 2 families in the whole building, it's very quiet and comfortable during our stay.

I didn't like that the kitchen seemed to be cleared out - no salt or seasonings or cooking oil from previous guests.

Our room was on the bottom floor which at first we thought was great however it was close to the kitchen area, shared toilet, the entrance door and the stair case so to be honest this wasn’t ideal as we could hear everyone coming and going at all hours of the morning and night. So a lot of interrupted sleep and for me this was a real negative and I wouldn’t stay at this property again because of this. Maybe the rooms upstairs would have been better. Also the shared toilet smelt a bit and the basin wasn’t that clean and had no soap so I had to either go into our separate shower area to get soap or the kitchen..not ideal. There was also a funny smell in our room.

The facilities were great in that we were able to do our washing in the machines at the property and everything was provided. It had facilities for making or preparing food with plates, cups, cutlery etc and a dining table. We had a tiny fridge in our room that was sufficient for our needs. Our shower room was spacious and clean however the basin area was dated and basic. This property was only about a 5min walk from the station. Beds were comfortable.

A terrific location, within minutes walk to the train station and also the Nakasendo trail. A simple, traditional lodging with laundry and kitchen facilities.

Easy to locate and nice facility all around. Pretty basic kitchen layout and unadorned rooms with good bed and bathroom/shower.

You can hear what is happening on the street outside (Cars etc.). Also everything can be heard within the guest house (thin walls). Also beds/mattresses are quite hard/uncomfortable. I had issues with inserting PIN code to door lock as keyboard was not visible. You need to put your palm over the lock/display to activate the keyboard. This info could be communicated better by owner.

Great location nearby the station. Quite spacious room. Big windows with view to street. Big wardrobe to store all of your things. Clean shared bathrooms/toilets.

Little bit pricey for a basic room with shared bathroom. But that may have been because I didn’t book far enough in advance.

It was just a basic room. The beds were very warm and comfortable. Everything was lovely and clean. Fantastic position quick walk to train station. Google maps took us to the back entrance,but the lovely host helped us out over the phone!

We went during the month of march, and it was quite cold. Turning the heater on helped, but always with a delay and with the traded inconvenience of noise. A warm pull is certainly recommended!

The common areas have everything you need, especially multiple washing machines and dryers. The bath area was also really nice.

The pillows were filled with bean bag styrofoam balls and quite uncomfortable. Would prefer a cotton pillowcase not the velour

A self check in property that was tricky to find with no English translation for the name. The google map provided was a bit misleading. Very clean with a full kitchen and laundry facilities which was great even though we didn’t use either. Easy walk from the train station and 7 eleven very close by

Aircon didnt work very well, and since we went in January it was snowing and very cold.

We booked a triple room of 25m2 in size. On the website photo, it shows there are 2 connecting rooms with 3 beds. However, the room that we got was half of that, with the partition between the two rooms closed off, and there were only 2 beds. We were still charged the full cost of the triple room. As the owner only communicated in Japanese via text messages, and we only stayed one night, I didn’t query about it at the time.

Walkable from Nakatsugawa station. Shared facilities were well maintained, new and clean. Room is good and clean.

This place was great, it's close to the station and has a full kitchen, sitting area and washing machines available for use. There were 4 of us in the 3 bed room. Beds were comfy, showers good and hot. Can't fault much

Arrived early and let us check in. Other properties in Japan have asked for a fee to do this. We were on the ground floor which worked very well for our stay. Easy access to private bathroom, toilet and kitchen/dining area. Kitchen is very well equipped. Bedding is Japanese style on tatami mats and mattress. Our stay was very quiet, all guests were respectful. Great value for money.
