Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere is no lift and having to pick up a heavy suitcase 4 floors was a workout in itself.
This is a really nice apartment with all the amenities including coffee machine, kettle, washing machine and dryer, (clothes line on the balcony), microwave, fridge/ freezer , location perfect with a 2 mins walk if you are training at the Okinawa Karate Kaikan. There is a convenient 7/11 store with a 1 min walk with all the things you need. There is a lovely bakery called (Good Morning Bakery) closed on Monday and Tuesdays with really nice pastries. Not far from the airport about a 20mins drive without traffic. Use the Uber app to get around. (Top Tip - if you don't speak Japanese then Google translate what you need to say and take a screenshot as they speak very little English). - came in very handy!

GreeceThe location is a bit difficult but this is not something that can be fixed and they inform you for everything in advance, I would recommend a bit of different lighting in the room some kind of small lamp against the main lights
It's a great place , but you will enjoy it more if you have a car , if you don't have a car then public transport or walking is a bit of a struggle in the hit of the summer , however there is a really nice bakery and coffee place and a 7 eleven next to it so you won't miss the basics

United KingdomThe windows aren't very soundproof and the curtains let in a lot of light. Could be a problem if you're a light sleeper.
Close to the airport and a short drive from Naha. Free parking space to park your car. 7/11 across the road. All in all a convenient place to stay at and would book again.

TaiwanThe only downside was that the curtains didn’t block out light at all, so the room got very bright early in the morning, which made it hard to sleep in.
We spent eight days in Okinawa and stayed here for four nights. Although we didn’t bring much luggage for a short trip, as a family of three, we appreciated having amenities that allowed us to travel light. This place offers laundry detergent, a coffee machine, cooking utensils, and even basic seasonings—pretty much everything you need for daily life. The apartment is clean, modern, and spacious enough to fully open large suitcases. It also provided plenty of blankets and pillows, allowing us to choose what suited us best for a comfortable sleep. Located in a suburban area, there's a convenience store right across the street, a large supermarket about a 10-minute walk away, and a bus stop around 300 meters away. However, bus service is infrequent, so driving is more convenient. The apartment is next to a road, and although you can hear some traffic noise with the windows closed, it's not disruptive thanks to the quiet surroundings. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and the host was very responsive, resolving any issues promptly.

JapanThe parking situation was difficult especially trying to get children in and out of the car and carseats. But that's understandable. Just not a lot of space available.

United KingdomLiterally nothing I can think of could have been improved. The room is perfect as is.
I travelled from UK. over 15 hours flying time alone. Luana Lea was literally home from home for me and the four friends I travelled with. Very clean and comfortable room and furnishings. I had no problems sleeping despite 8 hours jet-lag. Extra amenities such as the air-con, coffee maker, washing & tumble-dryer machines enabled me to relax from the second I walked into the apartment. I had an apartment all to myself but you could comfortably sleep four adults. More if you're willing to cram. There is a wet room with shower over a Japanese style bathtub (smaller than what we have in the UK). A separate toilet, a utility room with washer/dryer. The main living area is open plan bedroom, lounge ad kitchen. There are sliding doors which can be used to separate the bedroom from the lounge and kitchen. There is also a balcony overlooking the main street. Outside noise pollution is minimal. The two aircon units within the apartment are probably louder than the noise outside, and they are not particularly loud even at night time (not for me anyway). There is no staff on site. Entry to the building is by key code and there is a key safe for each apartment. I went to Okinawa for a karate festival. If that's your thing, Luana is located exactly 6 mins walk from the main Karate Kaikan. Opposite the apartment block, there is bus stop to Naha central, and a Seven-Eleven convenience store. An Uber taxi to and from Naha airport only cost me £8 each way for the 16 min drive. The location is just perfect. I hope to be back in Okinawa again in two years time. I'll be booking my place here six months in advance to ensure I get an apartment. It was perfect

Great location for day training at Karate Kaiken. 5 minute walk back for lunch. Quiet, didn't hear much from neighbours. Slept through false missile alert, versus those in centre of town being wolen by sirens.
