We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

ThailandI booked 4 non-smoking rooms but one of them has cigarette smell. In the room, there isn’t much light. The bathtub is about to break. It had water leaking out.
It’s near to the subway entrance of Shinkaichi st (no elevator). There are Lawson and supermarket around the hotel in 5-minute walk. Staff is nice as usual, quite friendly. Our rooms are space.

South AfricaThe hotel is very dusty, corners have spider webs and fluff. The cleaners don't move objects or dust them, they just sweep or mop around them. The toilet is not cleaned with a brush. The bowl has stains from previous occupants yet the cleaner was coming everday to 'clean' the room. The bath tub has a scum or dirt ring yet. The smell of cigarette smoke is overwhelming. English proficiency of staff at reception is sadly limited and that somewhat took away from the entire experience.
The Wi-Fi connection was not that bad.
