The unique selling point of the hotel is that you can borrow books freely to read during your stay within the hotel. We were welcomed with a drink and that started the experience amazingly. Location was great, bed is comfortable, toilet is clean.

The only thing I did not like is the coffee, at least Black coffee is not my favourite.

It is a very cosy hotel with everything you need. I love the books available, even a small range of English books is very satisfying. The mini burger is amazing!

Nothing in particular that stands out. The curtains aren't black out so it was a little bright but I forgot to pack an eye mask!

Great location and very comfortable room! The whole hotel has a very nice appearance and the surrounding area is nice as well!

A cosy and quiet atmosphere with lovely staff greets you when you step through the door as the aroma of coffee drifts through the air. Up to the room, a small but beautifully laid out space clearly designed for the most comforting reading and unwinding city vibes! Everything was very clean and the shower was amazing too, the bed was lovely and comfy. The location is handy, 20 minutes from the main train station but slightly further away from tourist attraction which is what I like.

I loved this place so much!! We had such a great view, a cute little balcony, and ALL THE BOOKS! The whole vibe was perfect and I wish we had stayed longer. The train was super close, and it was an easy transfer to get to Ghibli Park, so bonus points.

The room was tiny, breakfast is minimal, no coffee/ tea unless buying them in the cafeteria. Personally, I didn't like the Jazz music played in all public areas.

The theme of a books hotel is special and nice. The whole hosting agenda encurages and accommodates reading, which is lovely. The staff is attentive and warm. A beautiful park in front of the hotel, making walking around the area nicer. The hotel location is excellent, 3 minutes away from Fushima Station, close to multiple conbenient stores and restaurants. The laundry room downstairs is useful.

The way our room was situated the window was behind the bed. We used the blackout curtain but light came in around the edges and I found this hard to sleep though. Our friends stayed in a different room and I don't think they had this issue.

Such a cute hotel! We loved the bookshop/ cafe and the rooms had everything we needed. The complimentary hot beverage at the cafe was a fun bonus! We were only in Nagoya and at the hotel for one night but we enjoyed walking around the area! We would stay here again.

You get a free voucher for drinks in the Café, and the area to sit down and read is really nice. Already the ground floor makes you feel at home, but the rooms are on an even better level - first rain shower so far in Japan, and the bathroom was so clean.

I wish there more pillows. I only had 1 in my room and although it was soft, it was honestly pretty flat. Also more options to the sliders would be nice.

For an affordable hotel, Lamp Light Books Hotel delivered such a great value. The room size was sufficient and the mattress was comfortable. The shower was modestly-sized but they had a premium brand shower head which I thoroughly enjoyed. True to its name, there are several books available to read in the lobby or take to your room. And lastly, probably my most favorite of all, was the Fuglen coffee at the hotel's cafe! They served top-notch coffee (as expected of Fuglen) and some delicious sliders. Location is good as it's right next to a small park and just a few minutes walk to the nearest metro.
