It smelled a bit bad in front of the hotel, which was something like a farm.

Nice dinner and breakfast which were a wide variety like Hitsumabushi, Sushi, Japanese curry.

Good option for nature lovers who enjoy the communale life style

The website says shared bathroom and it sure is shared! I have been to a few onsens and this one is pretty small and very busy. Expect to see lots of naked strangers in close proximity to you. And that is the only option for having a shower because the room has nothing. Also, the room was not that easy to sleep in. The aircon was very cold but if you turn it off the room is very hot and the duvet is one of those Japanese style ones that is think and heavy but not that wide so it cant wrap round your arms.

If you like nature, this is very good option. It is surrounded by a pine forest, and has a lake, with many types of birds. You can go onto the roof and see the sun set over the bay. They even serve free coffee as the sun sets, which is really nice. There is also the pacific ocean and lot of wide natural beaches very close by. So location is the main plus. The hotel has typical Japanese rooms with tatami mats and sliding doors. The food is served in buffer style. I would rating dinner as 7/10 and breakfast as 9/10, so pretty good overall . The staff seemed nice and very helpful.
