Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI thought this little hotel was so pleasant. Staff was very kind, although the room was small it had everything I needed, including a comfortable bed. It also had lots of nice little touches, like a free happy hour drink, code access for the women’s bath, English translations, cute dishware for children, etc. Breakfast was pretty good with lots of variety. I didn’t use the public bath but it looked nice. They don’t do check in until 3 so I left my bags and went out. When i came back they had already taken my bags to my room (why don’t they do this at every hotel?). My only caution is that it’s a 15 min walk to the train station. It’s not that far, but with a suitcase and/or in the rain it can be troublesome.

TaiwanWe stayed for three nights and had a great experience. The complimentary drink service in the evening was a lovely touch, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. This hotel places a strong emphasis on sustainability—if you opt out of room cleaning, they offer two bottles of water as a thank-you, which we appreciated. The amenities were also impressive. We really liked the quality of the toiletries, and the public bath was a nice bonus. Although the bath area isn’t very large, the hotel provides real-time updates on how crowded it is. That said, since everyone can see the same info, it can still get a bit crowded when many guests decide to go at the same time (which made us smile!). Overall, it was a thoughtful and enjoyable stay.

CanadaFor the price we paid, I can't really complain. However, it would be great if they had better coffee for breakfast. Also, the breakfast is Japanese. Western options are limited and not very good, but this is Japan after all.
Great hotel at a great price. This hotel is an amazing value at the price. With a Japanese buffet breakfast, public bath, complimentary drink, and it's location close to the station, you are not going to find better value than this. The hotel was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were great. There are a lot of healthy vegetables for breakfast so that also was a pleasant surprise.

AustraliaThe hotel is slightly further to the main areas than expected, in a quieter part so you’ll definitely meet your step count!
Comfortable and slightly larger rooms for Japanese standard. Love the happy hour each day where we could help ourselves to a free drink (large range of alcoholic or soft drink) every evening. Guest could also help themselves to toiletries from the ground floor - really great selection including lotions and hair wax. Lots of parking spaces on the same street too.

PhilippinesThe room is small with hardly any space for 2 medium-sized luggage. We just stayed overnight before our flight back home so it was fine. But I don't think I could stay there for more than 2 nights because of the room size and location. There's nothing much in the area near the hotel so you only really go there to sleep but not linger.
It is a short taxi ride to Nagoya Station but seemed quite far to walk with luggage. Easy & quick check-in & check-out although I'm not sure why my booking reference or name was initially not found by the front desk staff. Toiletries & iron sets are provided at the lobby so guests can just get whatever they need. We booked non-smoking rooms so we didn't smell any smoke in the room & hallway. The room & bathroom are clean, which is very important to us.

NetherlandsThe bathing room got a little bit crowded, there is honestly only spot for like 4 men at the same time. If more prepare to have some physical contact cause the passages are a bit to narrow to not bump into each other. Minor issue for me but it could get really crowded. The rest was good except some other obnoxious Dutch people sitting in orange with Max Verstappen on their backs like stereotyping the Dutch.... (NO WE ARE NOT ALL LIKE THAT, haha). By saying that as a joke it made me think about a Chinese guy walking in the breakfast in his wardrobe, so a dress-code wouldn't be a bad suggestion. The breakfast is after all a place where you come and eat and you do not want to be confronted with sweaty feet or genitals on the seat for a next customer.... Just a suggestion.
It felt like a traditional business man hotel, come in, get some drinks, get some sleep and you are good to go the next day because everything is close by! The tiny hot spring they have is a nice addition considering you have a bath at your room. Alcoholic drinks on the second floor in vending machine is really nice if you ran out and you just want that one drink in your room when you had a rough day.....
