U need a taxi back to the hotel after 6pm, but worth it, we always eat dinner in Town and bought food for breakfast and snacks to bring along ( selection of food at hotel rather small)

Close to the lift, late check in by yourself, feels like a Hostel, ski rental without problems, discounts for ski passes, bathrooms amazing, rooms simple but perfect, bus to the town very convenient, u can heat food there, vending machines

Amazing location steps from Kagura for those seeking to catch a storm in the winter. The lodge itself was updated, rooms had nice western beds and doors were better sound proofed than many of the older ryokans I’ve stayed at. Wifi was fast and reliable, they had a high speed mesh set up, very advanced. The lodge had several chill areas and was very cozy and spacious. No restaurant but had two food vending machines to hold you over. Great vibe overall, has soul but is updated. 100% recommend

Having to take shoes on and off... But that's the way they do it in Japan so that's my problem!! Heating was a bit hard to regulate but very warm..

Friendly helpful staff. Great location. Good breakfast... Great storage area and dry room. Room was small but nice, great newly renovated bathroom. Parking directly across the road. They do a fantastic job keeping to snow away.. 15th year going to japan. I would have to say that this is the best Family run place that I've stayed at in all the years..

Loved this very cute lodge. Amazing location for the slopes and hired our ski’s here too which were perfect. The breakfast was nice too. Really happy with it. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

While snacks and few frozen meals can be purchased in vending machine, it would have been great to have a restaurant inside.

Well location near a lift. Can rent and store skis directly in the hotel. Rooms were small but functional.

Areas for improvement : 1. There should be a vending machine for hot drinks, coffee tea, hot chocolate, etc. 2. Choice of skis for rental very limited. Only narrow skis unsuitable for the powder conditions of kagura was available. 3. When the ropeway is closed, hotel should take the initiative and organise guests for sharing transportation to nearby ski resorts. The public buses were hopeless.

Excellent location for Kagura ski slopes. Hiring a car in Yuzawa and driving to and from the Inn to the town was easy (although the snow storms made it challenging at times). Clean, warm rooms. Friendly hosts. Breakfast was tasty and all you need. Discounts on lift tickets made it very worthwhile to buy them at the Inn.

The stairs are killing us, did not aware of this when I booked it, you have to carry all your luggages yourself to the room and we are on 3rd floor.

Very close to Mitsumata Ropeway and bus stop, nice boots and glove drying room.

Tricky to get to via public transport, could feel bed springs, air conditioner was not working properly.

Everything is perfect for skiing in the Kagura MITSUMATA. The host is very nice and helpful. We lost our luggage in the Shinkansen, the host helped us to called the JR customer support, and to find my luggage in the end!!!

The leisure area was wide, clean and cozy, very suitable for fiends and family to have some snack and drink at night. The room was clean and the hosts ate super friendly and helpful.

Not much choice for food around the area. It's ok if you do not mind trekking for around 10-15 minutes to get to the nearest place for hot food. But once you get there, I think the food is very decent. It's a real shame the hotel does not provide Japanese style breakfast. We did not try the breakfast they provided because it was just continental breakfast, and it seemed a shame to fly all the way to Japan to have toast.

Loved the tatami room. Things were basic but clean and tidy. Really decent location to get to the slopes - it is only a 5 minute walk. The pistes were nice; great for beginner / intermediate skiers. Best is that you can take the Dragondola to go to the other valley. Owners were super nice and their daughter is soooo cute. My children enjoyed the experience.
