Nothing really, it was a very easy stay It’s out of the centre but the quiet neighbourhood and direct views to Sakurajima make up for it.

Liked the fact that it was old school large hotel that retained most of its features and was for its well cared for. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice. The onsen on the top floor is small but the views are amazing. There’s a free hotel shuttle from the main train station and centre of town.

Fruits at breakfast were not fresh and limited. Walls and ceiling in onsen could do with some cleaning .

Nice view of Sakurajima at the higher levels . Good location next to a shopping mall. Staff were helpful , even when they had difficulty with English.

Rooms are dated but clean.

Excellent breakfast buffet with Japanese and Western choices. Convenient shuttle takes you to train station and main shopping area. Hot spring on 13th floor and half the rooms have great view of Sakurajima.

Location was a bit away from central Kagoshima but the hotel has a courtesy bus. The staff didn’t immediately inform me of this option and seemed to want everyone to stay and eat the hotel.

The Spa was separate man and woman (which is standard), but on the leaflets a lady and a man were in the same pool, what we hoped for. We asked for a double bed, which we only got for the secong night. (extra to be paid no issue) And the doublebed has access only from one side, which is a problem for more elderly....

While the shuttle bus was convenient, the timing wasn’t always. It ran every hour so you had to plan ahead to catch it. And it didn’t run early so if you have an early flight you have to walk 40 min or take a taxi to the airport limousine bus stop. Also they didn’t have a laundry facility to use.

The view of Sakurajima from our room was fantastic. The staff were kind and helpful. The free shuttle bus was good because the location wasn’t near a train station or the main part of town. There were restaurants and a grocery very close by and the breakfast at the hotel was very good with a lot of choices. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The spa was lovely and also had a great view. The staff was wonderful on the day we left because they arranged the taxi pick-up for us and gave us a box breakfast in exchange for our pre-paid breakfast which didn’t run early enough for us to have.

Old school goodness. Although hotel facilities are a bit dated, the excellent service from the staff makes the stay a delightfully memorable one. The view of Sakarajima from the room was awesome. We also loved the dinner and breakfast buffet spread.

Breakfast could be a lot better. Much of the western food was quite bland in taste, especially the omelette.

The Japanese restaurant was cold and soulless! The hotel felt a little "dated" and the room was a bit smaller than expected.

Very helpful and friendly Staff. Our room was very clean with a great view. We liked the Spa with the view of the volcano Spa. Convenient for shops and outside restaurants.
