Everything about the property was wonderful. The hosts were phenomenal, the location was perfect, the room was spacious with everything we needed and more.

Unfortunately the doorways were very short. So I kept hitting my head against them (I am 180cm).

The architecture and ambience were quintessentially Japanese, the furniture offering Western comfort, and our hosts were exceptional in making us feel at home. Each morning, the breakfast was a feast for the eyes and palate. Each evening, our hosts welcomed us back after a day of sightseeing. Arigato gozaimas (どうもありがとう) to our hosts!

Absolutely amazing stay! The bed is super comfortable, the varanda with the garden view is so pretty, the shower pressure is perfect and tub is so cozy. The hosts are so nice and helped us with whatever we needed. The breakfast was one of the best meals we had on the trip! So happy with mg stay, was worth every penny

Absolutely nothing!

We loved absolutely everything about the accomodation. The bath was amazing, the bed was huge and comfy and the breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in my life.

Nice and cozy place

This place is absolutely beautiful and gave me the perfect experience of a traditional Kyoto garden. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and waited for us no matter how late we arrived. The room was very spacious—we had the entire second floor to ourselves. The bathroom, kitchen, and living room were thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. The towels were exceptionally soft, which showed the care the hosts put into every detail. I have to highlight the breakfast—it felt like being a guest in someone's home. It was generous, delicious, and truly memorable. The location is also excellent, with a market, coffee shops, pubs, and clothing stores nearby. Staying here allowed me to experience Kyoto's relaxed, slow-paced lifestyle. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Kyoto!

One thing to keep in mind: if you're planning to visit major attractions like Kiyomizu-dera or Eikando, it takes a bit of a walk to reach the nearest bus stop. However, the walk itself is quite enjoyable, as you'll come across many interesting small shops along the way, making it anything but boring.

This Ryokan is by far the best experience We had. The Host was very kind, She even made a origami bangle for my 8 year old daughter. The elder host even walked us to a bus stop, waited, making sure we catch the right bus.. The breakfast was amazing. loved every bit of it.
