Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOnly disappointment is that there is no reception or staff downstairs. That's why, I didn't feel safe to leave my luggage. I ended up using the locker in the nearby subway station.
I was able to stay comfortably. Everything was clean and neat!

United StatesLooks like there is an issue with water supply capacity, and the hot water was not hot enough when I took a shower at night. I tried to take a shower on the following morning, which was a little bit warmer than the night before. I hope this issue will be solved soon.
This is located near subway station, which is about 5 min and there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Also, the rates is competitive in the area.

HungaryThe bathroom was a little compact, especially the toilet area, but still managable even as someone 190cm tall. Literally only saw one person throughout the 4 night stay on the very last day, which was fine for us but if you have any issues it might be inconvenient.
Clean, pretty modern room, nothing to complain about really. Two subway lines are close, some good options for breakfast as well.

United KingdomThere were no staff, so it felt very isolated and impersonal. The 'luggage storage' was basically a case of hide it around the corner of reception out of view of the front door. The wallpaper in our room was falling away.
It had good local links via train.

ItalyJA Tennoji Hotel is a staff-less hotel close to Tennoji subway station. It lies in a quiet neighbourhood, facing an elevated motorway but nestled among old houses. The rooms are large enough to fit luggage and the bathroom is the usual Japanese-business-hotel type.

United StatesThis is technically not a hotel even if it says hotel.... There is no staff in the reception. I actually haven't seen anyone there. That's why, I was not very comfortable leaving my luggage in the luggage area on the first floor. I used the locker at the Fuminosato station instead. If you want to leave luggage at hotel and go out, this may not be a facility for you. Also, there are no extra towels in the cabinet outside the room.
The room was super clean and the air conditioning was working fine. There are enough toothbrushes and so forth.

IndiaThe hot water came a little late. It was there but we had to wait to get some hot water. The room is a little small but that is something you can adjust into.
The overall hotel was clean. The towels, and other necessary things were available just downstairs. They also shared the pin with me on the same day before I checked in. They responded to my queries very promptly. Overall a good experience.

CanadaPhotos on Booking.com made it look like a nice wide room with desk beside wall, wide bed, etc. Those photos were taken by hotel BEFORE they put the bed into the room. What happens is: the room is tiny, the bed (two single beds in my room) take ALL space of floor and not fit in enough, so one bed is against door of tiny fridge, and the "desk" is beside the bed, no chair. To get to the desk, must walk on bed and sit on bed too. To open fridge, must move the bed to open the door. There is zero room to walk except the bed. It is a "cell" sized private room. They renovated the room and the flooring smells of strong glue still. I had to open window all night and it was cold, blow AC heat all night on me. I booked 2 nights but I left after 1st night and got a much better hotel at the same price in other area. Too small, clean, but too small for the price. The renovation smell should be vented before asking customers in. Don't put two beds in tiny room if they dont' fit on floor... Ridiculous setup. Show real photos of room with beds inside to show how it looks, and not photos of room without beds to show space at desk and walls. There is NO space.
It was a good option for when all hotels were full in Osaka that weekend. It was clean. Close to subway. Interesting areas that is not so popular. Self check-in was easy. Nobody was at front desk but no problem.
