Unfortunately the air-conditioner seemed old and broken. It was not working properly because despite setting it to the lowest possible temperature, the room was not being cooled. The inside of the air-conditioner was also dusty and may have contributed to its malfunction. This was very difficult because it is in the middle of July, beginning of the intense and humid summer season in Japan. Another issue is that the windows of the hotel room do not have screens, so mosquitoes are free to enter the room. I could not sleep properly because mosquitoes were literally feasting on me the whole night, with me waking up to several bites on my arms. It was not at all pleasant.

I liked the location of the hotel because it was in between Atami Castle and Atami Station. In between both these landmarks, there are so many thing to see and explore. The hotel was cozy despite being given a room on the third floor and without an elevator. The bathroom was really big and the water temperaure and pressure are perfect for the very hot summer weekend. The hotel reception staff (or owner) was really friendly and accommodating. There are also a toilet available on the lobby and microwave ovens to reheat bento boxes, and deposit service for luggage even after check-out. The futon beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious (Japanese-style room).

The location was good, we were able to walk from the station in about 20 minutes. Check in was easy.

The only downside was the bathroom, which was very small and felt a bit cramped. It was manageable, but it did impact the overall comfort of the stay.

My stay went well. The self check-in was easy and convenient, which was a big plus. The hotel is in a great location – right across from a 7-Eleven and not far from the water. The road outside is just like any other road, and it didn’t disturb my stay. However, you need to be quick and alert if you need to cross it.

This little guest house was so lovely, simple but cozy and comfy. The staff member was very welcoming to us and helpful as well. We were on the third floor, and we could see the ocean a little, the street views, which were interesting, and looked over the comings n goings of the 7-Eleven. Easy walk into the shopping area and Sakura trees along the canal. (Early Feb) Laundry was very close, uses 100 yen coins. We ate fresh seafood next to the Sakura trees, very good. Nice shampoo/Cond, paper cups, toothbrushes etc available to pick up at reception. The property is a cafe also, but closed for our two days visit 😞 Warm beds, fresh linen, and towels. Our room was two bedroom. We could see the sunrise. Little bath with shower over. Slippers provided in the room. Very cute little place.

The hostel was usually empty with staff coming for a short period for checking-in. He could barely speak English and if not for my Japanese friend it would be difficult to communicate. The location is quite far from the train station.

The room was spacious and very cheap. There is a 7-11 across the building.

Curiously there was a kettle but no cups and none to be found in the downstairs dining area. The room was quite stuffy even with the air con running so open the window to get enough oxygen.

Location and staff were great. Able to hold our bags after checkout while we did a little more sightseeing. Good stop off point between the western coast and the Izu peninsula. Room was spacious with views of the ocean.

We're concerned about the airconditioning. I don't know if the cooler is not functioning properly, especially day time. Maybe because the location of the room is in direct sunlight. 🤔

The room has big windows and we like the seaside view. The location is near and accessible to the ferry port going to hatsushima.

Dirty towels were left in the bathroom, as well as someone's sock in the desk. I'd complained to the property in a message but got no response. The noise from the traffic outside was also quite loud.

The only point for improvement is the room could have been a little cleaner as some parts were dusty and there was a pet bottle left behind.

Surprisingly spacious room with an amazing view! Very walkable area and easy check in and check out process. The price I got at the time of booking was a great deal too!

There is no ceramic cup. Only paper cups available. The fridge has water in it. I have to wait 2 minutes every time I use the bidet.

Lack of proper bathroom, facilities squeezed into hall between 2 rooms. Decor tired, needs revamp. Location next to car park and road. Air con in one bedroom kept going off at night.
