This place felt really special! It used to be run as a hostel, but is now calmer while still having great facilities (washing etc) It was scrupulously clean. We had a very spacious room with amazing sea view and birdsong, you hear nature all around. There's pickup from the ferry and Kiyoki helped with recommendations for snorkeling and kayaking tours. Be sure to book dinner, it was amazing! (We nearly booked a cheaper "partner offer" which would not have included dinner and breakfast)

Our host was lovely so helpful and friendly. Helped with getting around the island, also our ferry. Kindly took us to see the fire flies which was truly amazing. House is well located and well appointed. Breakfast was lovely and the bread was so good.

The host was very nice and picked us up and drove us to the port by car. Grandma cooked a delicious breakfast and even treated us to a cake. The room was light and spacious, the view from the window was very beautiful. We really liked everything.

The room has an amazing view, and more spacious than we thought. From the rooftop you can enjoy stargazing, there is no light pollution, you can see the milky way and listen to so many different animal's voices. It's amazing. Kiyoko gave us a ride to the port both way, which is not that far, but it's easier with baggages. She was always nice, helped us when we had questions. We enjoyed the dinner, every evening was some new foods, many of them local dishes. It was delicious. With my whole heart I highly recommend Kiyoko's place for staying.

Irumoteso is run by the sweetest most amazing Kiyoko-san, for many, many years. Delicious breakfast and dinner, clean facilities, great vibes, beautiful views, close to town and attractions. It's obvious the house and its guests are lovingly cared for. It's been a privilege to stay here, highly recommended 11/10.

The owner, Kiyoko-san, was so kind and fun. She made our stay very comfortable and memorable. The views of the sea from the bedroom were gorgeous. There is a nice communal space/dining room for chilling in and you can make coffee, tea, microwave things there. Kiyoko-san also catered to our dietary requirements for the breakfast (vegan). We were offered a shuttle-bus pickup from the port which was very kind but we did not need this in the end. The weather was mixed during our stay (very rainy but then also very sunny) and the property was comfortable throughout. There is plenty of space for car parking.

The woman who ran it was amazing (so helpful, spoke enough English to help us book an awesome tour). We loved the large room and everything was clean and comfortable. Bikes to borrow & nice simple but filling breakfast. Fridge in room and good aircon. Felt very homely.

It’s a beautiful place on Iriomote. Very spacious, well taken care of and you can feel the love the owner has put into the guest house. It’s possible to get breakfast and a very delicious home cooked dinner if you let them know in advance. They also pick you up and take you to the port. The garden is a wonderful place to relax and watch the sea. Nice special: you can get cold beer directly from the kitchens fridge.

I had to shorten my stay because of a typhoon alert (hence maritime connections were going to be interrupted).

Kiyoko-san is a great host who makes you feel at home immediately. The gardens and views (from the room or the rooftop) are amazing. Kiyoko's cooking is delicious. You can rent a bike at the house and go for a ride (with Kiyoko's customized map in your pocket ;)

Since regular buses operate only till early afternoon it is necessary to rent a car to explore the island.

Very friendly owner, nice facility with fridge and washing machine. Excellent see view from the room and garden. Familiar atmosphere in the hotel.
