Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

CanadaThe rooms are quite dated, with older carpet. Not a lot of towels or amenities in the washroom.
Beautiful location with gorgeous seaside views. The onsen was clean and well maintained. The room with double beds and a tatami-mat area with futons was a nice blend and offered options for sleeping. The meals were exceptional. We had a set dinner and a buffet breakfast, and both were beyond expectations. Staff were very helpful. It was not made clear at time of booking that tattoos would not be accepted uncovered in the onsen, and they went out of their way to help us get bandages to cover tattoos to use the bath.

JapanThey charged me 130,000 yen for dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was supposed to be included in the booking price and there was no mention of dinner. Staff insisted we eat dinner at the hotel and said it was included in the price. Next day they charged me extra for the dinner. Stay was supposed to be $256 and include breakfast, but at check out the bill was over $400. Not happy!!!!

SingaporeThe train station is a 15 minute uphill walk from the hotel. There is a shuttle bus to the station, but seats need to be reserved in advance.
Breakfast and onsen were excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

AustraliaAccess is difficult, even with a car. There is a car park but you aren't allowed to park there, just drop off luggage. You then need to park at a private paid carpark down the hill. Then you walk back up a large hill, enter the hotel from the rooftop and go down to the lobby to collect your bags and check in. The room is old and needs renovation, very similar to 1980s beach resorts in Australia.
The staff were very friendly and the buffet is good value for money.

AustraliaThe whole place is terribly dated - in a bad way! Rooms were super old. Wallpaper peeling. Bathrooms were tiny unit baths from 1970's! Had to park about a 5 min walk away in paid for public parking lot. Long walk into town.
Nothing was really great. The rooms were straight out of the mid 1970's with none of the retro feels.
