Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainA little far from the main station if you are walking there.
Spacious room, lots of amenities, and nice breakfast included (you can choose between japanese and western style, as well as the time they will take it to your room).

United KingdomBreakfast was rather poor, could do with some deep clean.
Didn't expect much but was nicely surprised. Comfortable bed and quiet room. Very good for 1 night stay rest. Location was good also, few stops (10-15min) by tram to the main attractions.

RomaniaThings are getting a bit old and worn. Staff only talks to you through a small windoww (probably for privacy). You can only exit the room if you call the reception to unlock (this seems standard practice)
Breakfast was nice, but not very large. The adult facilities were welcome. Free drinks (non-alcohoolic) Decently clean.

JapanOnly receptionist can open the room door which I found quite awkward. We had to ask them to open the door for us whenever we wanted to go out. And the location is a little far from downtown area.
The room was spacious and super clean with cool atmosphere. There were a lot of amenities and we were treated with a welcome drink. The breakfast was also amazing.

ItalyThe hotel had a large, completely dirty room. We found used condoms in the trash, stained blankets, and a greasy, sticky headboard. We asked for a room swap and were immediately told we couldn't leave the room at night. They proved unhelpful and ultimately gave us our money back in cash and kicked us out of the hotel. Booking.com wasn't helpful either; they couldn't communicate with the hotel, and we ended up sleeping in the Hiroshima train station. A terrible experience and a huge disappointment for Booking.com

AustraliaHaving booked this hotel as a solo traveler with no idea what a love hotel was like, I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities on offer. The room was spacious, with a large bathroom, free hot and cold drinks, gaming equipment in my room, a wide range of adult movies on TV, and even toys for sale. While I didn’t use most of these, it was still a fantastic experience to stay in such a unique accommodation for a very reasonable price. The staff were awesome—they helped store my luggage for several hours without any fuss. The hot water in the shower was perfect. Additional amenities included free WiFi, an electric kettle, body wash and shampoo, toiletries, a small refrigerator, and even a microwave. Although the staff didn’t speak English, communication wasn’t an issue thanks to technology. It was a fantastic stay and an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it to everyone.

United KingdomIt didn't feel very clean and auto lock on the doors is a bit strange. It is a love hotel which didn't click with us when booking so that might be why it felt a bit odd to stay there for us (that's our bad though)
Shampoo and conditioner etc provided. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

Japani personally quite like eromanga and was a bit disappointed that they weren't available. i saw online that some other love hotels offer them but i'm not sure which is the more common option but overall it's a very minor complaint
i was curious to try out a love hotel while i was in japan and i happened to find this while looking for a last minute stay, the interior was a bit on the older side (not a big deal in my opinion) but i was very positively surprised by the comfort and the space it offered. the breakfast was 300yen extra, it was pretty alright too, i opted for the japanese style one but they offer a western style breakfast as well. the 18+ VOD offer was very large and quite comprehensive from what i could tell so if that's something you're interested in it's probably pretty good in that regard it was also interesting how you had to call the ground floor to get the door unlocked, after looking it up it seems that this is standard procedure for love hotels, i wonder why

PolandThe best hotel during our stay in Japan! If it doesn't disturb you that it's an adult hotel, it's probably the best option considering the prize/quality balance.

GreeceThe room was very smelly (very intense cigarette smell) and very expensive for what they offer. It is basically a love hotel (not mentioned clearly in the booking website). You don’t have a key to your room and the reception can only open your room when you call them. The breakfast was bad.

ItalyThe only weird thing is that you do not have a key to the room, and you are locked inside. The only way out is to call the reception and ask them to open. Creepy vibes for that. All the rest was great
We have never been to a love hotel before, and i must say we are very pleasantly surprised! The room was spacious and very clean, there are loads of complementrary products and toiletteries, the jacuzzi was great, and breakfast delicious! The staff was friendly, and allowed to leave our luggage few hours in advance free of charge.
