Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandCleanliness in the main room was lacking, we've found hair and some of the countertops looked dirty. However, the bed itself was clean with fresh bedsheets and both bathroom and toilet were clean as well.
Very big room and I think the most comfortable bed ever. Helpful staff. Very close to the river, you can walk alongside it almost all the way up to the museum. Shower and toilet separate which was very good. Plenty options for lighting to make the room cosier.

AustraliaThe spa bath didn't work, the shower did but not the bath. The tap in the wash basin struggled between hot andcold positions and seemed a little random.
It was a huge room by japan standards. The bed was a traditional on floor mattress and was very large and comfortable. There was a lounge area and a very large bathroom. The aircon worked great. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. It was only a 12 minute walk to the peace park area. It is clearly a 70s hotel but was really good.

GermanyThe room was full of mold at the walls and the AC was full of mold as well which made it less comfortable to what it actually could have been.
It's actually a love hotel but we used it as a couple for tourist purposes and stayed three nights. It's well located and spacious.

United KingdomThe room stunk of smoke when we first got there and the hallway constantly smelled bad while we were there.
Staff were helpful and came with fresh toiletries/towels etc every day. The room was comfortable and clean. Good location right next to the river and 20 mins walk from the dome.

SloveniaWe found some used towels in one of the cupboards, but that was very minor.
Very good vaue for money. It is a love hotel, but very quiet and comfortable. Staff allowed us to check in early. Room cleaning every day if you want. Walking distance to the peace memorial park, but may be a bit to far to walk to the JR station if you are carrying luggage. Many buses and a tram pass by. Staff polite and with good knowledge of English. Large rooms and a large bed.

NetherlandsThe room smelt faintly like cigarettes. And because of the double closed windows it gave off a sex dungeon at times haha. But I guess this was what we signed up for.
Fun experience! Even though it was a love hotel it was great value for money and we got daily towels etc. Great help from the staff too whenever we made inquiries.

AustraliaThe only discomfort we experienced was with the vibe of the hotel. It seemed like the kind of place where couples could pay by the hour, conduct business, and then check out. The entire hotel and room had that atmosphere, so we felt quite uneasy and were concerned about the possibility of hidden cameras. Fortunately, we were only there for one night, and we didn't undress in the room.
The hotel was very clean, and all amenities were provided. The room was very spacious, with a couch. Additionally, there was a steam room and spa in the bathroom, which was great.

United KingdomThe hotel has a great location just off a river path and a short walk to the memorial park. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, a definite 10/10. We had a fridge, kettle, microwave as well as nice toiletries and sachets of creams etc. The bed was comfortable and the room was really spacious, we found the sofa and table useful and having a large tv was a treat. The only downside was not having a view out and slightly tired decor. But the excellent price and service made up for this.

SwitzerlandSlightly on the outskirts of Hiroshima but only 10 minute walk to memorial park. No cold water in the bath, so quite difficult to use as hot water was boiling, we had to fill it with cold water from the shower, but the jets worked. Room was quite dark so difficult to see how clean everything was.
Good location. Easy check in and out experience. Large room with sofa and comfortable double bed. Good amenities. Very good value for money.

United KingdomSome confusion around check in and timings. We were assigned a smoking room so there was a faint smell of smoke. You need to climb a staircase to reception, which is tricky with suitcases.

GermanyI didn’t noticed while booking but it is a love hotel, nothing too bad really just mind than sometimes you hear other people having “fun”. The only bad part for us is that it smelled a bit like smoke.
It was super spacious, it had all the necessary amenities and the bathtub was a nice plus. It’s around 20 min walking to Memorial park but there is also a bus that you could take. Honestly I think it’s a good for price / quality hotel. Friendly staff
