How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room is tiny to open suitcase.
All staffs are very nice & helpfull especially grandpa who cleans & tidy ourroom. He can speak very good English . Location is very good for having many restaurant around. The man onsen is very big but not lady one & they allow public to use as well.

we arrived late so didn't enjoy the city so much, however, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel. the car park wasn't expensive, smooth check in process. the onsen was great and the room was nice.

Overall, the property was clean and the family room is spacious. Both outdoor and indoor onset was a pleasant experience. Probably the best was the Buffet Breakfast with amazing view of the surrounding.

Hotel doesn't have a parking attached so if you have a lot of luggage like my family of 5 it was a little more challenge to unpack. Hotel is a little outdated and one of the restaurant on the 1st floor couldn't welcome our family because we have 2 little children with us.
Hotel reception was very polite and helped us get us to the parking lot. The restaurant on the top floor is excellent and has a beautiful view. Breakfast was really good.

Will be perfect if the twin room can be bigger.

Very nice onsen and close to station. Good bus connection to airport. Rooms were a little old but very clean.

The location is great, if one is taking public transportation such as the train. Unfortunately we drove and parking downtown is always a bit more of a hassle than in the e countryside. But that’s on me, nothing to do with the hotel.
Hotel was old but very well maintained. The onsen is fabulous, with multiple pools. I’m not sure but it seems that the indoor pools had moor onsen water the region is famous for.

Onsen was confusing as we don't speak or read Japanese and we hadn't been to an onsen before. A small pamphlet provided at check-in with a translation of some of the how to signs already available in the bath would have been a nice touch. Soundproofing was okay. Traffic noise was non-existent however we could hear loud talking from the rooms next door. This did not proceed into the night so we were fine but could be an issue if you're unlucky with your neighbours. The angle of the shower head was awkward at both levels and sent water flying to the other side of the bath. Unable to adjust.
For the price, we thought this place was amazing value. It is very close to the JR Station and all flat walking. We came early and they let us store our bags before check in. Front desk had a digital translator which was great to bridge the communication gap. The room had an antique feel. Carpet a bit old and worn yes, but slippers were provided. The breakfast was exceptional - heaps of choices and some English translations on the buffet. Onsen was enjoyable, if a bit confusing (see below) and the amenities provided were of good quality.

Room are pretty small. A queen size bed for 2 people is not so really comfortable

parking is not well-organized. the lot next to the front door is not the parking. arriving cars have to park on the sidewalk, run inside, find out that parking is around back, requiring circling the block and finding a one-way alley.
