I had a great stay at this hostel in Sado. Everything was very clean, the facilities were modern and well-equipped, and I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The personnel is very kind and helpful. I greatly appreciated the possibility to borrow a well-maintained good quality road bike. The island is a cycling paradise.

Perfect location at the 100km mark from Ryotsu Port (never mind if you started heading North or South), excellent for a midway stop to recover and continue the ride the next day. Super cyclist friendly lodge, comfy, clean. The bunk rooms are semi-private too!

The location is close to the coast but had an out-of-season vibe; most restaurants and shops were closed so there were not many eating options within walking distance. We shopped at a nearby supermarket and cooked at the hostel, so it wasn't a problem.

The hostel is Japanese style, with futons on the floor, low tables, seating on the floor, and shared kitchen and bathroom facilities (everything spotlessly clean). If you are looking for a typical, western-style hotel, this might not be for you but if you are looking to experience Japanese hospitality, this hostel does everything right.

I had a great time staying here. The best thing about this hostel is the truly EXCEPTIONAL staff. The hosts are so kind, and really went out of their way throughout my trip to help me book interesting activities on the island and find information about local festivals and events. I don’t usually give perfect 10s for anything but the staff here really went so far above and beyond to help me in a variety of situations that this place really stands out. The hostel is lovely, clean, and comfortable. The showers and bathrooms were always clean and stocked with soap and shampoo. There’s a nice kitchen and dining area downstairs. No problems with the internet—I could work on my laptop during my trip without issue. There’s even a charming swing hanging by the entrance downstairs. The location is fantastic—close to the beach, and a good central point to get around to various places of interest on the island. Also very close to a bus stop, although I would recommend renting a car (the hostel has a free parking area nearby too, so convenient!) I can’t recommend it enough. Sado is lovely. This hostel is lovely. You can’t go wrong.

Very clean. Spacious. This is the type of place that attracts respectful guests. The owners are a lovely couple. It feels like you are in their home. It is very comfortable.

The owner running the place was very kind! He explained and showed everything to us that was usable in the hostel. There are multiple showers and toilets, as well as a kitchen and laundry available. For the price, it’s really great and I recommend it if you’re just looking for a place to stay the night!

It's a hostel, so don't expect very much privacy.

The location is quite good as it is easy to access the nearby beach and there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. Additionally, it is very easy to access the busses that run all over the island from here. Staff is very friendly and kind.

There was some issues with the aircond but was easily fixed.

The hosts were extremely hospitable. They fulfilled and went above and beyond to fulfil our needs during the stay. They were very helpful and responsive to our queries.
