I had a problem with my suitcase breaking, but the staff did everything in their power to help me. They were super welcoming & had a lot of patience. It was also the first place since travelling in Japan that offered a lot of food recommendation without me having to ask for them. They have curated a whole list of nice places to eat în Fukuoka. The bed was comfortable as it was a proper matress on it, not just a simple futon.

Good place to stop in Fukuoka, the staff is really nice and the dormitory is small but comfortable. You are at 20 min walks from Hakata station. You can find good places to eat really close from the hostel.

They are charging 200 Yen per person as tax of Fukuoka city which was not mentioned in booking details.

Fukuoka accommodation was quite expensive compared to other places in Japan. I got better value in Tokyo, for example.

The hostel is rather small, but you‘ll have everything you need. Most importantly, exceptional staff! Recommendation for amazing ramen just down the road which we wouldn’t have found otherwise. In the evening, we got to experience the famous streetfood of Fukuoka!

Nothing! Some guests were loud but that’s not the hostels fault

Everything was amazing! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, they help you out when exploring food options and just generally navigating the area :) everyone was very kind to me there. The beds are quite big and the mattress is comfortable, the blanket is super soft! You also get a second blanket in case it gets too cold. The showers were always clean, as well as the toilets and the common area/ sinks. Slippers are provided as you can’t enter with your outside shoes. They can also keep your luggage before check-in, which was very convenient for me. I will miss the kind people working there, as well as the general vibe- it was a very homey hostel

It was a bit far from the station. However, a worthwhile walk during spring because of the Sakura

There is no lockable storage for belongings. This has been a common case in hostels I've stayed in around Japan though, so I don't feel it detracted from the space.

This was my first trip solo travelling, and I'd very happily return to Toki! The attention to detail for the amenities made my stay feel very hygienic and comfortable, and I felt very safe (I'm a female traveller). It was a very easy walk to Hakata train station, which made getting around the whole city easy (and they even provided a map with an easier route than what google maps suggests). The best thing I found about Toki was definitely the staff. They were very attentive, accommodating, and friendly. They provided me with lots of recommendations for good food locations and places to see, and even went out of their way to find information about a sports facility I asked about. I would highly recommend this hostel to everyone.

Probably the time that staffs are available, after 10AM no reception. You gotta wait until 4PM. That’s maybe the only one.

Good location, friendly staff, and very clean hostel. I’ll probably stay again if I come back to Kyushu.
