Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I requested quiet room in the BOOKING.COM site, and the manager sent positive reply very quickly. I stayed in the isolated room 301 and I was very satisfied. The price was very low and the room was clean.

The host was great and helpful. Nice little place to stay. You might not see the area as looking too great but it really is nice and safe. There’s a little kettle for making tea as well and even a little balcony that I didn’t realise was included

GermanyIt is located in a old building. Somewhere look a bit old but it is not a big deal, you may experience the some types of local living.
The location is very convenient and near everything. I would say it is very reasonable price to have your big private room where exactly located in city center. The staff was very polite and helpful. There offer hairdryer, comic books, hot water etc...

Chilethe room was very very hot and there was just an old fan that really did not work much and there was an AC but you needed to pay extra ¥100 for it to be on for 3 hours, which we did not think was a bad price but the AC SUCKED. the only setting it had was 20° celsius or more which was ridiculous hot for air conditioner, we sweated more inside the hotel (which is supposed to be a nice relaxing cold place to get after walking all day in summer) and it was really uncomfortable
it was right next to the shopping streets and very central in naha, the staff was very nice and kind.

South KoreaThe wall is thin so you can hear the sound from the next room, vice versa. It’s domestic Japanese style home so you just have to hope to meet a good neighbor.
Great location, takes only few mins to kokusai street and makishi public market. It’s old building but the room is huge and well cleaned. The manager is also very friendly and helpful. Amazing value for the price. I want to stay again if I comeback.

United StatesThe place is in a perfect location. Very close to Kokusa-dori yet the area of this location is quiet. Close to a lot of restaurants and shops. The facilities are in the third floor. There is an elevator. The showers are hot. The room is traditional japanese style and spacious compared to the ones from Honshu. Excellent price. Host is a very kind person and attentive. This is the only place ill stay in Naha!

AustraliaCould do with a wash down. Change the broken windows, wipe the light switch fittings, maybe change the lamp, also why get the guest to make the beds when this is literally what we pay for. I get that this may be cultural but what are we actually paying for if we have to make the room ourselves. May as well go to a hostel.
If you are on a budget and are okay with dated rooms that might not have been washed or painted for years then this is your spot. It serves the purpose. If you are not used to sleeping on sacks of wheat bags for pillows then, like use you might find is tough. I personally woke up better than ever after these funny pillows but my partner did not. It's really close to the arcade walking street where you can find loads of fun little bars and restaurants.

United StatesNaoki-san was so friendly and welcoming. The facility is sparse, expected given the pricing and one does need to pay for air conditioning via a coin slot on the device but again, given the pricing it's not really a burden. Great location off of Kokusai-dori. Highly recommend.
