The service is very good!! They are so friendly to foreigners. The room is beautiful and clean. There are 4 private onsen in this hotel, they are clean and comfortable. They have free drink bar in their kitchen, it very refreshing! The food also wonderful!

This place was amazing. We were at the end of our Japan trip and it was the best detox area. The owners were so nice and accommodating and the breakfast was beautiful. I literally can't fault anything.

There is no shower stall or bathtub in the room. No elevator, most the rooms are in the second floor, you have to carry your own luggage. 💪

From the second we stepped onto the threshold of this hotel, we felt welcomed and super cozy. Although the lady at the reception didn't speak English, she still did her best to explain everything we needed to know about the hotel and the area. We also had complimentary sweets and participated in a small tea ceremony, which was something we, as tourists visiting Japan for the first time, appreciated so much. The place had four private onsen rooms, with all the necessities you might need, such as different shampoos, towels, hairbrushes and cotton pajamas after the bath! Sleeping on the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. Yubatake was 1 minute away from us. The breakfast was delicious. I wish we had stayed there longer!

Location is perfect. Staffs are really nice. Breakfast was to die for. Room was great. Love the firm mattress and soft duvet. My highlight is the private onsen in the hotel. Fabulous!

Even though there was a language barrier, staff was pretty welcoming and helpful. Having 4 baths that can be used without a reservation and time limit was perfect. The hotel is soooo close to bus terminal.

Cute lil ryokan with wonderful daily bean-focussed breakfast. In fact the rooms are named after beans! Nice lil private hot baths for use.

The acoustic isolation of the rooms is not great but I didn't have any problems.

The staff was super gentle and polite, even providing a welcome drink and sweets. The room was confortable and clean and the private tubs are a highlight. There’s no time limit so you can enjoy your time once you get in there. The breakfast was also pretty great. Location is also great, close to the main Kusatsu spots. Highly recommended.

I would have been willing to pay extra for dinner so I could be even more lazy but this is just nitpicking.

The beds were extremely comfortable. The private baths were always open and available for use. The breakfasts were of decent size and very good. The owners/staff were helpful.

It is located within very short distance to town centre. The breakfast was good. We stayed in Sora room , an annex to the main block. The round bed was hard & not comfy.

For a tall person, navigating the small doorways was a bit annoying, but there's nothing that can be really done about that. Just watch your head!

Extremely cozy and well located within the small onsen city of Kusatsu, only steps away from all the central activities such as Yubatake and all the tourist shops. Very clean facilities, 24/7 private baths for guests to use, that all have fresh hot spring water flowing into them. The staff are kind, and the breakfast is thoughtful and well prepared. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to visit again with family/friends. Some staff may not have the best English but they all made an excellent effort to communicate with me which I appreciated. 24/7 tea and coffee availability was also a big plus, especially after a long dip in the hot springs!

You need to carry luggage up some steps to get to your room.

Location, comfort, and service were all excellent. The Ryokan was equipped with very good facilities. Private onsens were available as well, although you need to take turns to use one of the 4 shower rooms.
